Exploring My Imagination

I woke up this morning to my alarm clock at around 5:30. I got up to hit snooze and sadly could not remember my dreams after that . However, after I hit the snooze a couple more times I fell asleep, and thankfully I had a pretty good dream- not too vivid but not lame. Here's what I can remember.

It starts out with a scene from the the little mermaid, when Ariel is on the boat with Eric and the evil witch. They are about to get married, like they normally would in the movie, but soon things start to change. I remember at first there were minor differences- enough to make me wonder what was going on (not enough to make me realize I was dreaming though). Such differences were that the boat was not the same, and that Ariel was wearing more guy-like clothing besides her blue dress. As the scene goes on I realize that Ariel's voice has not yet been taken and she can still speak. She tries to warn Eric but Ursula takes her voice away. I think she used Ariel's voice to put Eric into more of a trance so he wouldn't resist, but it doesn't work. Ursula begins to shed her disguise but the strange thing is that it wasn't Ursula under there, but a giant green blob guy. At this point I'm kind of like, "Whaaat?" I believe my brain just dismisses it as some sort of remake/alternative ending to the story. Some details are fuzzy after that but I think something happened to make Ursula (giant blob man?) give up, and she decides to go. Before she/ he leaves, Eric and him have a kind of heart-to-heart discussion. Eric is saying something like, "it was good while it lasted, wasn't it?". I'm guessing the whole moment would have been a lot more touching if it weren't the fact that it was super awkward.

After that, the dream just kind of switches to me sitting in my living room (like it was when I was really little), watching the whole thing on TV. It ends and I wonder why it was so different. I click the guide button on my remote and find that they have been doing remakes of all of the Disney movies, so I decide to watch another. I click on one but a few seconds in I decide better of it and go to look at something else. I finally decide on an anime movie- one that I watched when I as little called Kiki's delivery service.

As I click it my dream starts to shift again, and this time I am in the movie as the girl, Kiki. I am walking around the streets until I come across one of my guy friends and we go to my house. At this point I don't think I am Kiki anymore, just some random anime girl. A man knocks on my door, and I freak out because I don't know why he's there. I then realize he is a friend and welcome him in. He hands me and the other boy cheeseburgers from Subway, and we begin to eat. We have to be careful because the lady I live with is really mean, and if she finds out that they have been in the house, eating cheeseburgers from subway, I'm dead. I remember that we had a nickname for her- the toy car. I'm not exactly sure why that is, but I believe it has something to do with the fact that when she's driving, she crashes into everything. Kind of like when a little kid is playing with cars and makes them crash into things. We talk for a little while, and all of a sudden we hear a large crash- signifying that the lady I live with has just arrived. I get up and make them rush upstairs to hide. On the way up the stairs, the man is sure to grab all of the subway rappers so she doesn't see. For some reason the upstairs isnt anime anymore, but the first floor of my RL house. Once they are all hidden I think that I do a little cleanin until she walks upstairs. She tells me she noticed crumbs on the couch downstairs, and can't believe I would treat her house that way when she takes care of me and always brings me to fancy resturaunts. After that I wake up.

I can only recall some dream fragments from last night; none of it was very vivid. However, I do believe my dream recall is improving because instead of just one or two dreams, I could remember three . Let's hope I can continue to improve as the days go by.

1) The first dream is the faintest, because I can't really remember much- just an idea for the most part. I believe it had something to do with me getting a job...

2) The second dream was more vivid and I can recall more details. Towards the beginning I can remember that me and my family are out skydiving. I am standing in this green field watching people come down on their parachutes one by one. One of them was my dad, and although the details are fuzzy, I can remember that when he got up he just collapsed onto the ground. We rush to his aid and suddenly the scene skips to a hospital. It shows my father sitting up on a hospital bed with wires attached to him, dressed in a hospital gown. I think a nurse came in and told us that my father has high blood pressure and that it could be fatal. There is treatment but it is very expensive. I believe that I was crying (maybe not). My father assures us that he will be fine and that we won't have to buy him any medicine, but his expression isn't very convincing. The dream fades after that...

3) My third dream began with me talking to a friend of mine in my school gymnasium. I can't remember what he and I were saying but it might of had something to do with his band. The scene then skips to me in this dim-lit cafe. The walls are dark green and there is a small platform rising from the floor- I am guessing this is where the bands always play. I can remember walking around the hallways opening doors, but the details are fuzzy so I don't know what exactly happened. Maybe I was their manager, walking around doing manager stuff? By the end I think that I am up on stage with my friend and his band, and that we are all singing and performing together. Soon after that I wake up.
