    The Lion Within

This is my dream journal, feel free to look around and comment. I'm happy to hear your opinions on my dreams, so just leave a comment. I will be using this more frequently once I perfect the basis of my lucid dreaming, because I am only a beginner but I am determined to discover what lays beyond my concious mind, in the form of my dreams.

I will leave a brief conclusion of what happened and deducing what it means. Even interpreting some details I missed out, trying to fill in the blanks. Even explain what is symbolic about the dream. I'll be adding to this journal description, maybe with pictures.

I will be using brackets in the title to determine the dream, for example: [LUCID] and [DREAM.] They'll also be a key I will be using:

    NON-DREAM
    DREAM
    LUCID

    1. [LUCID] Movie-Set Madness

by , 07-19-2012 at 08:28 AM (The Lion Within)
I attained lucidity only for a brief moment before losing my awareness. I attempted at making the dream more vivid by using a technique on the DreamViews forum, simply closing you eyes. I'll start from the beginning.

I was in an old, broken-down, haunted-looking house. We were filming a movie there using some cheap special effects and all of us (actors, camera-man and director alike) were teenagers, it just looked like we were having a bit of fun with a video-camera.

Then it came to me, I'm lucid! I think my sub-concious may have tried to throw me off because the next thing I know the director is telling me to do something and I immediately followed the order. Before I could be lost into the dream again I realized that no, I'm lucid and I can do anything I like.

The dream was a little fuzzy so I attempted to make it more vivid by closing my eyes and telling myself I wanted this dream to be more vivid. This had the reverse effect and I ended up becoming part of the dream once again, so now I know that method is not something I should be using again, or something to only come back to in a long time/with enough experience.

    2. [DREAM] The Undead Wars

by , 08-17-2011 at 10:30 AM (The Lion Within)
This was almost like a film, it was playing before my eyes. Paying attention to just the right people at the right times. Maybe this is a little nightmarish too.

A girl, 18, the main character, sees that her mother has fled the land, for doing something wrong and the kingdom wants to punish her. She wants to find her mother, she knows where she might be, there special place. Over the war-lands, where un-dead soldiers (in the form of skeletons) fight an eternal battle, never to be won, never to be lost.

As she runs over these 'dead-lands.' She gets hit by the explosion of the bomb, she'd been through the dead-lands a few times now and survived, surely this will not be the end? Before the story has even started? Apparently yes, because she awakes with only 1 arm. Completely disintegrated from the explosion, while it is been treated by the un-dead, with her concerned friends overlooking her.

Just as we are about to see if our fair maiden will survive this harrowing ordeal, I am woke up by my sister, so I am in quite a mood I didn't get to see what would happen next.
    3. [LUCID] The Adjustment Bureau

by , 08-16-2011 at 11:54 AM (The Lion Within)
I was in a classroom, being taught a lesson, I presume.

I stood up straight away, realizing that this is a dream, I don't know how I realized. I just stood up and thought 'this is a dream.' I walked over to a door, my class seemed not to have a problem with it. I remembered that I could 'change dream scenes' or as I called it, teleporting. I went through many doors, teleporting to different places, but wandering to the next door without exploring my surroundings. I regret that now, I could have discovered more 'lucid powers.'

I come to another door, which is the last door I went through, and the only place I could remember. I decided I wanted to go to the Eiffel Tower, not a random place like I have done before. I ended up not directly under the Eiffel Tower, like I had planned. But with the Eiffel Tower a few blocks away, and me next to a river, coming out of a warehouse door, with some French lads opposite me. They taunted me, but I just ignored them and was about to go towards the Eiffel Tower, when...

My mum woke me up, by getting out of bed and making noise. All I had is a brief recollection of this lucid, which I have patched together and made this story out of.

I called this 'The Adjustment Bureau' because if anyone has seen the film, they travel through doors to different places, much like changing a scene, or rather dream scene, in my case.

    4. [LUCID] My First Lucid! (Short)

by , 08-08-2011 at 11:56 AM (The Lion Within)
I was running through doors, with a small kid, around 7. Coming out from Hogwarts to someone's 'normal' livingroom. I tried several times to get out, but many of the doors were locked. I started panicking and was about to have a panic-attack when I just stopped, and realized I was dreaming. I just calmly walked out a door that was once locked and started exploring a street, the small kid still by my side. I must have got over-excited because the dream just faded into another one.
    5. [DREAM] In a Coma and Phone Mysteries.

From when I could remember the dream. I was in school, then went outside to a carnival. We used currents to make it come towards us, by taking the water out with a little scooper and putting it back in. I now know it is impossible. Many of my school-friends won prizes, but I didn't. We went back to our classroom in a flash, me not dreaming of how we got there or back. Then I began to fall asleep, a deep sleep.

I awoke to, well, not my classroom. I was in a house, much like my own. On a chair in the kitchen, an unknown man asked me if I was OK. I nodded and began to get up and ask about where I was and what happened. Our conversation went like this:

      Me: 'I was...uhm...sleeping.'
      Him: 'Sleeping eh?'

I came up to explore more and he seemed to not have a problem with it, the house was strange. Exactly the same as my own house with all the things in the same place, I found my phone on a pile of papers, where my mum's phone was usually charged. I looked at my phone, and it was, uh. Different. The software on it was completely different with different wallpapers. I didn't check anything apart from the menu options, which by then I could confirm where completely different.

Me: 'What did you do to my phone.'
Him: 'Put all my software into it.'

There was something else, he drew...or something, many of these drawings looked like cartoons and manga, they were pinned to the living room curtain. I think, and we had another long conversation of which I can't remember. Also, uh, he had another job, maybe a secret agent...

The next I can't remember or there was a skip through my dream again. I ended up waking up on a fancy bed, with golden covers and a dark-wood headboard. Everything was a blur, in mind and sight. When I finally got my bearings I saw I was no longer in 'my house' or with the man. I was with a woman, around 18, light tan, a brunette and she began to talk to me. This was a much longer conversation, but I can't remember it all:

Me: 'Where am I? What happened?'
Her: 'You fell asleep I've been looking after you.'

There was another longer conversation, again. I can't remember, but it consisted of what she did to my phone. I remember this snippet:

Me: 'What did you do to my phone?' (Noticing that it was physically changed now, not just the software.)
Her: 'I made your phone like mine, I gave you all my secrets.'

There was a long pause, in which I was inspecting my newly 'pimped-out' phone. Software and physical changes. But I couldn't help looking back at the woman, she seemed familiar, but I don't know from where. I just know I was growing an attraction to her.

As my sister came in to wake me up, I tried to hold on as long as I could onto the dream. I was now completely looking at this woman and I was going to do something, maybe kiss her, maybe say something. I don't know. As the dream faded out into reality I saw myself though, not my 13 year old self. But older, around 18, with long scruffy hair. My features were more defined, and I had lost weight, a lot of weight.
I awoke and was determined to write this down. It's took me an hour, but straight away I deduced that I possibly went into a coma, twice in the dream. That could explain been with two different people, at different ages.
