In my dream, Death was one of my friends. We were hanging out together, not alone but with a group of friends. They were my sisters friends actually. My sister was also there. Death was paying more attention to me that night. So I turned to him and asked him if I was going to die that evening. He said I was, but I was very healthy. He said it was going to be an accident. He said someone was going to accidentally set me on fire in the kitchen!! So I asked him to postpone my death and he agreed to speak to his higher authority. He got me the extension, but he couldn't tell me for how long. He said it could be anywhere between a month to one year. I told him I wanted more, but he said extensions are only granted once.

I have had this dream occur for me a few times per year since childhood (about 8yo). The dream starts in the spirit world, which looks like a giant cavern filled with cobwebs. After hanging about on the rockcliffs for a while, I find myself making the move to be in the land of the living, which is hostile and unpleasant and fraught with meat grinders mincing people up. It is a battle to survive, and I work really hard to do so. But at the same time it is my goal to get back to the spirit world. In the dream I feel like it is easy to leave the spirit cavern, but really hard to get back there despite all the danger that exists in the living world.
