Dream that made me come to this site

I often remember large portions of my dreams as it is....

Last night I was with two friends (not known in my waking life) and we were stranded atop a cliff above a river. I saw a boat in the river and ran to the bottom of cliff (not sure how I did that) to get there attention to save myself, I left my friends behind. I couldn't get their attention and I swam out into the river with a rope attached to the shore. The edge of the boat was just out of my reach so I let go of the rope. When I touched the boat I somehow caused it to begin sinking. It was at this point that the people (Three of them) on the boat realized I was there. It was actually myself that turned and looked at me. I assume that the other two people on the boat were the same two friends that I abandoned on the cliff, although I never saw there faces. I cannot remember a portion of the dream or perhaps the dream ended because I realized I was dreaming when I was looking at myself. I vaguely remember afterwards being in a house with an elderly woman serving me and the same two friends a drink (I believe something like hot chocolate) I know this occured after the boat, but I am not sure if it was the beginning of a new dream or the end of the first.

I laid back down after my boyfriend left for work and had another dream. This one was so intense that even though I had intended to only take a short nap I ended up sleeping until noon. I often wonder whether I am controlling my own dreams. Sometimes in my dreams a character (usually fairytale like, but in the evil witch way) tells me I can. And then I try and fail and then I try again and succeed. It always happens that I fail first.

My second dream was a lot more unrealistic but more real at the same time... I was younger than I am, and with a group of students like I was in High School or something. I was in what seemed like in parts a haunted house and in other parts just a museum. But it was all a maze. The other people with me were taken by the character (evil witch of some sort) because they had no souls. Somewhere in the middle of the dream I became a teacher (which is what I want to become in my waking life, but instead I am becoming an accountant because it was more convenient). Becoming a teacher made me lose my soul and she was after me. I had to find my way to the room with my teaching diploma and destroy it in order to gain my soul back. I was trapped in a room where she stood there and told me I could make that room the room with the diploma. Like I said I tried and failed it became another room with posters of diplomats (A room I know I had previously visited in the dream) I tried again and succeeded, but I felt as though she might have helped me. I then was able to make the "maze" easy and left.

Welcome to Dream Views! Hope you like it here, there's a lot of guides for inducing dreams, controlling them, etc. Hopefully you'll find the one that's right for you.

And it seems you learn things after failing the first time might actually be useful (you might learn all the techniques the first time and become a master at them!) . And you should watch out for the character who tells you that you can do certain things in dreams, they might be a potential dream guide!
