Lucid Dreams
Note: This is the first lucid dream I've had since I came to this website. It was a DILD that came after a rather long and strange dream, one of the most memorable I've had in a long time. So i was in this house in my room. My Mom was on the couch, laying down doing some type of paper work. I had a fish tank in my room with a frog in it. I went to get some type of medicine and accidently dropped it into the fishtank. The frog ate the medicine and suddenly grew to the size of a chihuahua. I was nervous but intrigued. I let him out and he hopped across the room. I thought he was going to pee so I decided to let him outside. That's when it hit me that this thing might find a way to breed and it could be an abomination to the earth, giant frogs everywhere! so I quickly got it back inside and decided I had to kill it, once it my hands it bit my wrist (it teeth were sharp) and then it suddenly shrunk (after momentarily morphing into a duck and then back) and then suddenly it was dead and in pieces despite me not really doing anything. multiple times (on the way outside and back in) I tried to tell my mom about the frog but she was too busy to look. The woman who I was holding the frog for came back and I explained what happened but she didn't seem to believe me (but she wasn't mad) this frustrated me so bad I decided to take a walk and I ended up in some casino/hotel/restraunt/club lobby walking around. I really needed to pee and while I was looking for the restroom at least 3 times people in coats told me I wasn't allowed to be there. Thats when I noticed how ugly the bite on my wrist looked and i spit up blood, enough blood that I could cup it in my hands. Suddenly I was driving down the road, I wanted to find someone with a phone so I could call for help, I looked over at my hand and it had swollen to the size of a boxing glove and was a dark red. I was very scared and I said to myself "This can't be real..." "...it has to be a dream. And I instantly knew it was. and I smiled. Never before had I felt so at peace and happy to be in a lucid dream because I've been so focused on the subject lately (so it was like getting a gift I had been wanting) and what's more...never do I remember so easily dismissing the narrative of the actual dream before. You see, I had been speeding down the road in this car and my hand was swollen and horribly disfigured, but the second I became lucid and smiled, it's like I instantly decided all that was over or either just didn't matter. For example: I decided to look at my palm to help become more lucid and "ground" myself as many of the guides talk about. And instantly as I looked at it, it wasn't swollen anymore. Furthermore: The speeding car? Despite taking my hands off the wheel and looking at my palm (and nothing else) I had ZERO fear that I might crash. It was like I knew it wouldn't happen because I didn't want it to happen. But then the dream decided to surprise me. As I was looking at my palm, a GPS like voice came over the car speakers and said "You're destination has arrived" Note: I thought it was interesting it said "your destination has arrived instead of you've arrived at your destination--maybe it just said it wrong..or maybe it actually a more accurate description considering how dreams work. Anyway. When i heard that, I looked up and saw this little bar/clubhouse on the beach and my car rolled to a stop by itself, right in a nice parking space. I got out and looked at my palm again. It was weird looking--like CGI in a movie, not like my real hands at all. I look up and to the left of my car I see a sea of backs of heads, a large group heading towards the steps of the building. I walk fast to get in front and up to the door. I pause in the entrance way. I turn around and the man in front of the group (who was a spitting image of the guy who played superman in Lois and Clark) decided he was angry with me being in the way and tried to shove me. But just like with the car thing earlier, I somehow knew--like instinctually--that it wasn't going to do anything and I didn't even feel the impact. So suddenly he decides to punch me. I turned away because I thought if I saw them coming I might feel it, but the "camera" of the dream showed me an angle where I could see my back and him swinging at me from the side and all the punches were impacting about 2 inches away from me, as if there were an invisible force field stopping him from actually hitting me. So then I grabbed him by the shirt spun around and with one hand held him over my head (in an arch motion) sending him through part of the ceiling and then threw him off to about where my car was. I felt NO weight when i did this..only the cloth in my hand. It was like I had superstrength. Another person attacked and I parried the punches like neo in the matrix and then backhanded the guy off the porch. I then heard an asian wind instrument play a few notes for me (i knew it was for me) it sounded like it wasn't anywhere nearby but instead playing over the scene itself like music in a movie--it was the score of this very dream scene. At that moment, a man in front bowed to me in the asian style and the crowd followed. I bowed back. And then I woke up I really wish I could've kept it going longer. I wish I had thought to look at my hands again instead of battling the second guy, but I was just enjoying myself so much. It was incredible though, despite being short.
