Nightgazer

I was walking down a street, the sun was shining on me, I felt the warmth as I looked up to the sky above me, feeling very relaxed and content with everything.

Suddenly the atmosphere changed, people all around and the feeling of doom and gloom. I at once had a knowing of an impending explosion. Of what I did not know, I only knew that me and everyone around me were a few seconds away from death.

Directly in front of me a flash of light overwhelmed my face. I heard an enormous crack, felt a wave of heat and saw soundwaves coming toward me. This was it!! I felt my body parts break away (no pain) only fear of impending death, and knew at once I was in the process of dying.

Darkness all around me. I am surprised!! but feel dread at the same time...all my senses are gone...but I'me still aware. What am I? Where am I? I'me still here but it's not the same as when I was alive. I feel like my consciousness is floating, I have no body..it's not the same, should have been different..

I then woke up with my heart racing and still felt a lingering presence of dread lurking about me.
