This is a little complicated. In Waking Life my wife and I visited Chichen Itza and Palenque on our honeymoon, years ago. From the walls of The Temple of the Foliated Cross at Palenque, my wife drew a picture of a young Mayan man who was holding some kind of ceremonial flute, as if he were a herald.

In last night's dream my intent was to re-visit Chichen Itza and connect with DV dreamers. In the dream I was driving some kind of small motorized vehicle through a Mexican village, and I was carrying the Mayan flute with me. I realized I was driving on the sidewalk instead of the road and made a correction. I came to a tunnel and drove downward through it. Then I came to a wall of gated bars that I had to pass through to get to the other side.

I could pass through the bars but couldn't get the flute through. Two Mexican men on the other side of the bars saw me and picked up guitars as if to play music with me when I made it through. I tried and tried but couldn't get the flute to fit through.

I gave up and went back through the tunnel to the road. I then found that I could go around the tunnel on a side road and got to the other side. I saw a shaman on the other side and told him about not being able to get through the gate with the flute.
