    Captains log: November 3, 2011

Last night's series of dreams ranged from the bizarre to the fantastic. The meanings of these dreams are yet to be discovered, but the profundity of them lingers during my waking state.

The first set of dreams included an apocalyptic war where the machines had taken over. And it was my job to fight them of single handed with the sword of destiny. In the heat of the battle I was able to dispatch many of the bloody machines into the great scrap pile in the sky. Suddenly a white horse approached from the east, the rider of this beast was none other than President Obama, dressed in an elaborate Abraham Lincoln costume. He stood beside me and said forcefully. "You were born to bring peace to mankind, now lets rewire these sons of bitches." Together we destroyed the entire Cyborg hoard. A moment later we were addressing a crowd of millions gathered at the monument built to remember the epic battle, and he began to give the "Four score and seven years ago" speech. The crowd cheered and I faded out.

The next dream begins with me in a small scientific exploratory boat in Pacific ocean. I am a member of a group of scientists who are studying the great white shark. It is my turn to go into the water with them, but I decide against going down in a cage. Instead I dress in a chainmail suit, looking like a character from a Monty Python sketch, and jump into the water. There was a chain that had broken on my chainmail suit and it caused me to bleed. I couldn't really feel the bleeding but I saw the faint red tint rising from my left arm. Panic rose over me. I knew that not only was I in Great White Shark infested waters, I was outside the protection of the cage. I tried desperately to get back to the boat, but the suit was weighing me down and my progress was slow. Then a black sillohuette appeared below me, I knew at once that this was the vehicle of my demise. The fear took hold of me, paralyzing me like a prisoner. I couldn't move. The blackness grew larger, until a the clear shape of the beast shown through. He was large, grey and battle torn. This monster has been through more than the normal shark, his life run by conflict. He was a warrior and he was on the trail of fresh blood. His eyes black as the soul I imagined inhabited this body. He drew nearer to me and I let out a scream, which was little more than a stream of bubbles on the surface. He inched near me, when he was in striking distance, I pushed my arms out in front of my body defensively. The shark did not attack me, he slapped his fin against my out stretched hand. We shared a moment of knowing. The shark and I just high five-ed and we are now homies" Fade out.
