My Friend and I were at a large,youth hostel style cabin located in the grounds of our university. I felt distinctly American,which is odd as I am British. It was a special place where you could go to revise for exams, containing a dorm and a shared kitchen. I shared a room with my friend and a person that I haven't seen for some time who refused to move from their bed and seemed afraid of us,pulling the duvet covers over their head. Looking out the window I could see a bus stop.I thought that this was odd...briefly realising that I was in a dream. There was a shared bathroom next door with a curtain down the middle to separate thetoilet from the bath. I felt afraid, knowing that there was no privacy.There were kids everywhere, a large school party, being yelled at by teachers. One kid shouted where do the uni versity students be?' I yelled 'over here'. My friend and I walked through a hall where my dad was sat with her dad watching a rememberance service. I hugged dad and woke up...

This dream was perculiar as a number of people I have not seen for some time were in it at various points. I assume that It may be about exam anxiety home sickness when at University but I will have to see.

It is also interesting to note that I often dream of University when at home, as I have been the past two weeks. It is almost like living in two places at once.

...Last night.A happy dream as it was my first taste of a lucid dream.I dreamt that I was walking down the stairs and then remembered about the common dream that people have about floating down the stairs, some of which that I had read on this site. Suddenly, I realised that I must be dreaming and attempted to float-with some success. Then, I tried to create a marker to know that I was dreaming for future dreams. I first attempted to jump up and down as I decided that gravity doesn't work in dreams..which is where the lucidity tails off. I thought I was in the matrix briefly, before attempting to put my right hand through my left hand,on which appeared a wedding ring, (which I don't wear in waking life). All the while through this dream I was aware of somehow watching myself from behind,controlling my body from a distance. Also, bizarrely, in my dreams my hair is often brown and bobbed, the opposite to waking life! The dream was blurry and seemed more impressionist in nature!
