Non-Lucid Dreams
My family was going up north. We arrived at a pretty nice cottage we must have been renting. It is late, and I watch some terrible Lord of the Rings parody on a portable DVD player in bed. The next morning, I wake up in my bed (no longer in cottage) with my mom standing over me, glaring. She says I took the tape with our home videos and taped over them with a Rage Against the Machine CD. Before I even have time to explain myself, she storms downstairs. I know I didn't do it, but she refuses to believe me. I leave my room, and my brother tells me that he was the one who made the tape. He walks downstairs, and hands my parents a remote control looking device. He wrote "I have no" over the power button, and taped over all of our videos. (FYI, the remote now says "I have no power"). Now all of my parents anger towards me was directed towards my brother. My parents sat me down on our stairs. My mom apologized, and I half-heartedly accepted. I am now with my brother, my friend Tyler, and a friend of theirs I've never met before. We are at a pretty classy outdoor restaurant. It is their friend's birthday. My brother tells me he is trying to think of more ways to mess with our parents, and that I should help him. We start to form teams for some form of game. I check my phone, and see two missed calls from my friend Ryan. I realize I was supposed to pick him up four hours ago. I call him, and he doesn't answer. I wake up.
I am running a 5K cross country race, and there are only about five participants, all from my school. Our assistant coach Mr. King is the only person in attendance. My friend Cole, who is normally as fast as I am, is with the fastest runners on our team, but I am still average. I am upset with myself for still being average, but the others take pity on me. This only makes me more angry. I am now at a large football stadium, watching a game with actor Don Cheadle, who claims to be the owner of the Baltimore Ravens. We talk for a while, and watch some of the game. Later, I am with my brother Ellis, and friends Ryan and Tyler. We are on roof in a town I've never seen. Cops start to chase us, and we run through streets and multiple staircases. We are making ground fast, and doing Russian Climber moves down the staircases. I distinctly remember seeing Ryan drop a good five stories in between the median of a staircase. It was the type of stairway you might see in a parking garage in an urban area. The median is much too small for a human to fit through in waking life. (Note- a week or so ago, Ryan, myself, and our friend Ian went to see Super 8. We used the parking garage staircase, and my two friends had a contest to see which of them could spit from the top floor, through the medians, all the way to the bottom floor. Ryan won, and this is probably why I saw him jump between the stairs in my dream.) After a while, we ended up on Ludlow and University, two streets near my house. Sometime later in the night, I was another roof. A man holding a large, black bag was also on this roof. At first, he spoke sanely and calmly to me. Suddenly, he pulled an unconscious African American woman of about 18-25 years from the bag, and put a knife to the back of her neck. I quickly drew my own blade out of nowhere, and pressed it to his neck. He looked me in the eyes, emitting an aura of extreme, seriousness, power, and killing intent. We both knew that he could have easily killed me, the woman, and whatever else may have been in the bag, but he calmly got up and left. He did not take the woman or this bag. I can't remember exactly what he looked like, but I remember him telling me about his obsession with blood and death. He gave off an incredibly strong presence of insanity and surprisingly incredible composure.
My Dad leaves me in the lobby of a roller rink. I wait a while, watching T.V. carelessly. I remember a "Who's Your Tiger" commercial of Joel Zumaya for the Detroit Tigers. I couldn't remember if he was still on the team, and decided to leave. I left, and found myself on the other side of town. It's a sunny day, and I am at the "Rochester Village" a series of restaurants and shops. My dad is eating outside on the sidewalk with my friend's dad, Mr. Ingraham, and his daughter. I join them at a table under an umbrella, and they are very insistent that I eat. The waitress tells the daughter that her hair looks better than it did yesterday. She thanks her, but once the waitress leaves, she mutters "eavesdropper" under her breath. We order cheesy bread sticks. I ate a few, but don't remember their taste. Soon after, I woke up.
I was attending a driver's training class in my bedroom. There were three students in my attendance; myself, Fogle (from movie Superbad), and Ugly Betty (from some T.V. show or something). The instructed was a male of around 30 years old and very fit. As he explained to us the dangers of Auburn Hills, (a neighboring town), I play with a pink balloon that looks like Kirby. I inflate and deflate Kirby, and then see a vision of a basketball game with the three students. I don't know who our opponent is or what they did, but Ugly Betty dies and is taken off on a stretcher. We are now back in my bedroom, and my dad is speaking to the instructor about the car we would be driving. Strangely, the car seems to have taken the place of the wall where my desk normally resides. I continue to play with the Kirby balloon for a while, and soon wake up. Note: This dream occurred the night before my first day of driver's training, and I have been playing a lot of Kirby's Pinball on my GameBoy Color.
I was in my basement with my friend Austin and one of his friends. He somehow created two Legend of Zelda games for GameBoy Color for both of us. They came in blue cartridges. We played for a little while, and the game was actually very quality for GameBoy. Now it is the following morning, and my brother and carpool are ready to leave. I'm holding them up because I have to prepare a very quality steak, and I refused to eat it in the car. I took my time and ate the steak, and it tasted familiar and delicious. (Once I woke up and remembered the taste, I was actually surprised at how good the taste was, considering I was dreaming.) In the car, I played Zelda, but it was too hard, so I switched to Pokemon. Soon, my vision became the GameBoy screen and I used a Geodude and a Farfetch'd to defeat Gary Oak. Just as I was about to catch a female Nidoran, I woke up.
My brother was pushing me on a storage cart out of the main corridor of our high school. It appeared to be the last day of school. We were joking about failing classes and firing teachers, and went to the parking lot. There we met with some of his friends, the only one I knew was named Anthony. We made a plan to go to the beach. My brother and I drove together. I did not recognize any of the roads we took, and they led us through moderately dense forests. (The landscape was very similar to where we live, so it is possible I went there when I was younger or something.) My older brother spent most of the time criticizing Youtube advertisements and computer viruses. He mentioned a "glib" virus in particular, which I don't think I've ever heard of. We didn't make it to the beach, I woke up at a red light.
I wake up and go downstairs. It seems to be around 3 or 4 in the afternoon. Mom and Dad tell me I have to take some lame standardized test in a town about a half an hour a way, and I had to ask a classmate I don't really know for a ride home. I complained a bit, then my Dad quoted some Latin phrase he never says in real life, and took me to the backyard. My brother came outside and we walk up the hill to my front yard. We enter some sort of convertible car, which looked a bit like an Audi or something. I was playing with the seat adjustment thing, and I woke up. (This time I actually wake up.)
Me, my brother and my parents are at an unidentified ski lodge. Me and my brother argue Borders vs Barnes and Noble. (I have no idea what exactly there is to argue about, but I sided with Borders, which is odd because I actually prefer Barnes and Noble.) Scene change. My friend John works at a Coke factory. I knock over a bottle, and go to get a towel. I somehow end up in a BlockBuster store, and my friend Adam shows me his favorite Zelda movies. (None of them actually exist, they had Link and Luigi on the cover. How I did not become lucid here is beyond me.) Then I walk back to the factory, and John already cleaned up the mess. He says I owe him 5$.
I am in English class, and a substitute teacher yells at a classmate of mine who always quotes Shakespeare. Somehow I end up in an unidentified computer lab, taking a Math final with people who aren't in my class. I distinctly remember my actual math teacher. We don't really do anything.
