Today, I had a horrible lucid dream. However, this is not an exceptional case. Lately, all my lucid dreams have been like this. ... random dreams ... I wake up to sleep paralysis. I get out from bed, try to walk around, but my vision is very weak. I can barely see anything. So I decide to let the paralysis pass. I find myself back in bed, having the paralysis. I wait it out until it quiets down. I get up. Vision is better now. I get out of my bedroom, to the corridor. My vision gets horrible. It's like my vision is tilted diagonally, and one side of my vision is black. I can barely walk. I try to improve my vision by focusing on things. No effect. I can see the floaters I have in waking life with vivid detail, but that's about it. I desperately try a stupid exercise: I'm alternating between touching a door knob and another thing near it (not clear what). After a bit of doing it, the door knob and the other thing started randomly getting invisible. This startled me, but I kept doing it, and they kept getting in and out of sight. Then I say "To hell with it!", and I decide to do something fun. I stumble down the stairs somehow, and get out. I can see our old door that we don't even have anymore. I hear beatiful bird chirping outside, it makes me feel better. I stumble into our grandma's building (she lives next door). In there she seems like she was expecting me, and that totally broke my lucidity, and I started talking with her about nonsensical stuff... And that's about the quality of every lucid dream I have been having in the past few months.

Recently I watched a film called Red Planet. It wasn't a terribly good film, but it seemed to influence this dream. In my dream, I was on Mars with my family, doing some kind of expedition to reveal the cause of something (I don't know what). ... I was in some kind of ancient temple. The sky was a red to yellow gradient, and I was climbing up to some temple entrance. ... I finally entered the temple entrance, and I was walking down spiral stairs to some catacombs. There I confronted some alien warrior woman who wanted to conquer the planet (or something). She kidnapped some girl who was constantly trying to give me advice (not clear what kind of advice). I (somehow) beat the warrior woman. (or not?) ... Seems like our mission on Mars was a success, so we decided to go home. But there was a catch: We had to take off with the rocket in 30 minutes, because there is going to be a huge nuclear explosion that tears the planet apart. So we started packing our stuff. I really wanted to save my computer, so I was packing it in, but my mother's friend (who also came with us) packed in his drying racks where I wanted to put the computer. So I was arguing with him, wasting valuable time. We all wanted to save as many possessions as possible. Eventually, we wasted enough time that the 30 minutes have passed. I started wondering "Hmm... the explosion should come right about now... Maybe there won't be an explosion?", and I looked out the window and saw a huge red mushroom cloud rising. I said "O SHI-" as the mushroom cloud was rapidly expanding towards our location, and I could feel the immense heat burning my skin, and I could hear the roar of the explosion. I suddenly woke up.
