non-lucid

I am in my old childhood neighborhood in England. I am driving correctly on the left side of the road and realize that the road I am on has been changed since I was last there. There is a filter to go left but I want to go straight ahead. As I am in the filter lane, I illegally go straight ahead and am stopped by a female cop.

I am out of my car talking to the policewoman and thinking about how I can get myself out of getting a ticket. I look closely at her uniform and realize that it is strange looking. All the badges are very faded. It suddenly occurs to me that this is a fake cop and I walk away while she is talking and get in my car and drive away.

I should have known I was dreaming when I realized it was a fake cop.

I am at work with my friend Jill. It is an office/shop that I am not familiar with. The boss is there. I believe that he has left and I am saying something bad about him when Jill indicates to me that he is still here. I am worried that he heard what I said but he does not react so I am relieved.

Jill and I are then sitting at a square table opposited each other having lunch. The table is in the middle of the street. The same boss then comes over to the table and tells me that my car has a flat battery as someone left the lights on. I remember that I loaned my car to someone and am mad that they have flattened my battery. I go with the boss to a garage where my car is and he opens the hood. I ask him if he can fix it.

My husband and I are riding in the back of a car. Our friends Mark and Sharon are in the front and Mark is driving. Mark asks me if it is always so difficult to raise girls and I tell him it is not easy. It seems like we are in England as it is cold and we all have coats on. I am wearing a heavy black velvet jacket buttoned up to the neck. (Nice jacket). We go into the house and walk into a country style living room and I leave my bag in front of the fireplace. The fire is lit and it is warm and cozy. We then go out to a large tented area which is set up for a big event (possibly a wedding) with many round tables with white tablecloths. I see a woman that I know (not in real life) and go up to her. She is cooking a tomato sauce type of thing with slices of tomatoes in it over a single burner (what is it with me and sliced tomatoes ). I think it seems odd for her to be cooking such a small amount when it is obvious that many people are expected. I then see a lot more food being brought in, in large metal containers.

My husband is surrounded by a bunch of servers and he at a round table exlaining to them the correct way to pour drinks and which glasses are for which drink. They are all very attentive to what he is saying. I then realize that I need something from my bag and go back into the main house.

I am at home in an apartment on a very high floor of a building. I am with my friend Adrienne. I suggest to her that we have a joint birthday party. She say she is not looking forward to this birthday and so can we make it on the day after.

I am slicing tomatoes at the kitchen table. My husband just got up and asks me why I am up at 5:30am. I tell him that I am having problems with my lucid dreaming and have asked PercyLucid about it but have not had a reply from him yet as the computer is down (My computer was down in real life last night). He asks me why I am slicing tomatoes and I reply that it is because of my running. I tell him that Oprah uses tomatoes for running as well. I cover the tomatoes with plastic wrap and put in fridge.

Next thing I know we are in the living room and the TV is on. (This is not my real home but looks something like a place I lived many years ago). We are at a dining table just outside an opening to the kitchen that looks like a patio door. I am talking to my husband and notice water all over the floor. He gets a mop but the more he mops the more the water increases. I insist that he keeps mopping. The phone rings and I go to a hallway to answer it. The person on the other end of the phone seems distraught. Tells me her name is Michelle Wot (Don't know her in real life but seem to know her in dream life). She needs help. I tell my husband to turn of the TV as I have to go and help Michelle.

Did RC's as much as possible yesterday and meditated in the afternoon using mantra "I will lucid dream tonight". Before sleep did relaxation, self hypnosis (that I would lucid dream tonight and wake up during each dream period and recall my dreams). Repeated short mantra "I will lucid dream tonight or very soon" and visualized seeing a dream sign and becoming lucid.

Was exhausted last night and slept very heavily and had zero recall this morning. Got up at 7:30 and fed my cats and played with them for about 20 minutes and then a WBTB. I could not fall back asleep using MILD so decided to try a WILD. I definitely went into SP and did RC's which failed so I was dreaming although very shallow. Had a few disjointed storylines going and a couple of lucid fragments of a dog on my cats condo and four black cats walking in a line in my bedroom. Next time I looked at my clock it was 10:20am. I got up. It wasn't excactly mind blowing but I think it was good practice.

I am at my sister-in-laws house in England but it does not look like her house except that it is old like hers. I am in a bedroom and an acquaintance from work comes in with his son who is about 5 years old in my dream (he is actually about 13 but the last time I saw him he was about 5). They want something from me but I don't remember what it is.

I then find myself taking a shower in the kitchen. There is a curtain separating the shower but I can hear what everyone is saying. My S.I.L. is saying that her husband is addicted to a strange and little known drug. I say from the shower that she should not worry as I have been addicted to every drug there is and that it is easy to get off them!

Next thing I know, I am meeting a bunch of people off a bus and my daughter is with me. I am wearing a white cotton sundress with very thick black tights. I walk with my daughter to a ferry terminal and wait in line.

Next thing I am back at my sister-in-laws house in the same bedroom as before and my daughter picks up my tights which I must have taken off and says "Mum, these tights are way too big, you should have bought the size smaller". I told her that I like them to be big.

I am then in a hallway which I believe to be in the same house and see a big old dog. I pet the dog but am told not to pet the dog as it has to be put down and he is taken into a cubicle and given a pill. He comes out of the cubicle and I am relieved as he seems to be okay. He then starts to get all wobbly on his feel and I am very upset. I wake up.

I am at a party to celebrate my lucid dreaming. Everyone is dressed up. The party is held at a big mansion with a long driveway leading up to it. It is in the countryside with no other houses around.

Lots of kids playing with bubbles and one kid is being a bully. All the other kids start to blow bubbles in the bullies face.

I am asleep in my back garden and the UPS lady gets right in my face and says she has a delivery. I am a little annoyed about being woken up. She is my usual UPS person and I call her Janet although in real life I have no idea what her name is. The delivery is a pink armchair that I believe my sister ordered to use instead of a bed.

I am in an apartment with some friends from many years ago. I have just broken up with my husband and am pretty devastated. I am in the living room of the apartment and am trying to find a place to live. I am feeling pretty depressed about the situation. I am with one other person in the living room and everybody else seems to be in the kitchen smoking a joint and oddly enough my father is in there with them.
