December 31, 2014 - LUCID #3: Portal to Another Planet
I 'wake up' in my very dimly lit room, and somehow I just know I am dreaming; I'm excited but I keep myself calm. I try a little dream control by turning on the lights using the wall switch. Nothing happens. I try flicking my fingers. Nothing. I throw my arms in the direction of the light bulb while shouting, "Let there be light!" Still nothing; I give up trying to turn on the dream light. I want to go to a peaceful planet, so I expect a portal behind the door. I open the door and the portal appears behind the window across the hall. Close enough . But, from the master's bedroom comes Razor from Dota 2, seemingly on its way to fry my ass with his electric whip! Out of reflex, I immediately jump to the window, flying through it as the glass breaks around me. I zoom through the purple portal; it feels very similar to the respawn transition from Borderlands 2.

I exit the portal into some grass fields on what feels like another planet. I was attacked by some weird monkey-like creature that moves as if held by strings by a puppeteer above. I fend it off by slashing with an energy sword I made by swinging my arm in front of me. It doesn't seem hurt, yet it scurries away. I notice some friendly dwarves roaming around the fields; I approach one of them and he said something about a "pony pair," and then the dream starts destabilizing and I am not able to salvage it.

January 4, 2015 - LUCID #4: Firebat and Zombie Attack!
I 'wake up' in my room, and it is somehow tinted with orange-ish light. I notice that my bed is in the wrong orientation. This must be a dream! I do a palm-push reality check to make sure; and I'm amazed as my index and middle finger pass through my palm! I closely examine my hands; the realism is stunning; I can really see the oiliness and the creases on my palms, even moreso than in waking life. I take an M&M figurine from my desk; the way the light shone on it amazes me.

Suddenly, outside my window I notice some bats on fire, seemingly on my way to enter my room! I kneel on my bed which is next to the window, face the firebats outside, and I blast them with a freezing spell, and one-by-one they fall out of the sky! I keep blasting them until they are no more; there were about 7-10 of them. Then, my door slams open as two Walking Dead zombies march toward me, albeit at an incredibly slow speed (like a centimeter per second). I fire an energy blast at them; nothing. My sister and some dude arrive from outside my room, they try to attack the zombies with their own magical spells, but nothing works. I don't remember how, but they managed to get trapped along with me in the room... *facepalm* I do an epic OmniSlash using an energy blade I will into existence, but the zombies are completely unaffected; one of them even mocks me with an unenthusiastic "Eh." I make a plan to ghostwalk through the walls so the three of us can attack the zombies from opposite directions, but unfortunately those plans never come to fruition as I wake up for real.

This is probably my most memorable dream so far, in large part because of the amount of control I was able to exert over it. I would love to have another action-packed dream like this in the future!

February 10, 2015 - LUCID #8: Shadow Figure and Life Secrets
I 'start to wake up' in my bed but I feel like it's a dream. I try to 'open my eyes' but I could only open them halfway. Through my little vision, I see some shadowy figure across the room; sorta reminds me of Slenderman. I am filled with terror, but I somehow manage to keep myself calm. Through the power of my mind, I blast it with a heap of light energy; nothing. I try unleashing an omnidirectional wave of dark energy. It works; the apparition is gone! I am now able to open my dream eyes completely, and they even give off a feint light similar to a flashlight. I get off my bed and examine my face in the mirror. It looks normal, but the realism still amazes me.

I exit my room, and its position in the house is swapped with the master's bedroom. I push a button on the wall near me (which doesn't exist IWL), expecting it to open the lights, but nothing happens. I just continue my trek through the dream in the dark as I enter my sister's room. My whole family is sleeping there; I look at each of them and they awaken for a few seconds before going back to sleep, looking annoyed by the sudden lighting from my eyes. I look at the shelf across the bed, and I see a really thick blue book (like 3/4 feet thick!). The book is laid upside-down but I am still able to read its title written on the spine: "Life Secrets." I feel like if I throw this book at the floor, a portal will open up, so I pull it out but as I do so my alarm sounds off.

Man, that dream ending abruptly was SUCH a shame! I felt like my subconscious was about to tell me something important, but life has other plans, I suppose. I want to get my dream hands on that Life Secrets book sometime in the future...

- A PowerPuff Girls video game where you control Mojo Jojo.

- LUCID #4: False awakening turned into a room defense against firebats trying to get in through the window (I ice-blasted them out of the sky!) and a pair of Walking Dead-like zombies that went in through the door. I summoned an energy blade and tried to Omnislash them to pieces, but they were unscathed and one of them reacted with an unenthusiastic "eh."

- Having sex with a girl in a bathroom in a boat, then later on escorting that girl home...

- Riding a tricycle from my elementary school to my home. A friend of mine was sleeping in my room, which looked like it was undergoing some sort of renovation. He woke up and he let me sleep in my bed.
- Afternoon nap: My dad drives me and some relatives to our province home. I roam around the house for what felt like a few minutes. Didn't really see anything interesting.
- Afternoon nap: In a resort, some of my younger cousins went to slide into a whirlpool of terror! I also went down the slide in hopes of catching up to them and save them from danger, but it was too late. My body was violently churned around the whirlpool, then I teleported to another pool where I was being drowned by one of my cousins! He was pushing me down with his foot to the bottom of the pool to prevent me from breathing (for a few moments I could actually breathe; should have noticed =P). Eventually he went away and I was able to catch my breath.

1/11/15
- Walking around inside a mall with no pants on...
- Inside the same mall above, I've been invited to some secret 'all-boys room' which was full of cubicles occupied by guys using their laptops. There's also a table full of food. Then I had an argument with ppd (Dota 2 pro player) about membership cookies and keeping the room a secret. In another part of the dream, I teleport back to the room by sticking my foot in a urinal...
- A Storage Wars-like show starring the Build Team from Mythbusters. At one point I 'jumped' into the dream and touched a red car.

- A PE class held in my elementary school. Another dreamlet where I am in some very small faculty room.

1/13/15
- LUCID #5: I was in my room with Merlini (Dota 2 caster) and I sensed something was up. We had a discussion about how I was possibly experiencing a dream, and he was saying it was all real. I was not convinced so I tried to jump out of the window to fly but Merlini stopped me. Then I became fully lucid as I gave a compelling argument to him how it was a dream. Then I walked around the house and observed my surroundings, but then I started to ask my family silly questions just for fun.

- A remix of Counting Stars and some church choir song playing on a local music channel.
- A news reporter giving a speech about typhoons and how "things will happen whether we like it or not."
- In my province house brushing a Fluttershy (MLP:FiM main character) doll with a red mane.
- Playing Dota 2, wrecking face with Ember Spirit!

- Badminton with some people I've never met IWL.

- Sex. Yup.

- A guy called Sir M. giving me a lecture in a bedroom (not mine).
- Two non-consecutive false awakenings...
- An epic class session/field trip that felt like 6 hours in the dream. I was with a class of total strangers, and we went to all sorts of weird places in an urban setting.

- False awakening in my parents' bedroom.
- Eating potato chips in college campus.
- Another epic dream; this one felt like 2 hours. I was with a group of friends roaming around the city. We spent lots of time trying to find a place to eat. One of us suggested a fastfood restaurant (KFC/McDonalds?) but another one warned against it because he said the ingredients of the burgers are disgusting.
- A sad Disney-like movie about letting go of your childhood and growing up. Steve from Blues Clues was there. I felt like crying during the dream...

- An argument with my mom... it ended with me saying "Do it better or don't say it at all!"

- Exiting some dome-shaped building after exams, then celebrating in the mall with some iced tea.

- A cartoon about some neurotic cats. The visuals looked very similar to Oggy and the Cockroaches.
- Something about amusement parks and being irresponsible...
- Processing a class cancellation for college.

1/25/15
- A grand resort festival held by my college! Part of the resort was a full-blown water party, but the other part was full of people using their laptops! (Aren't they worried their laptops might get wet? =P)

1/26/15
- LUCID #6: My parents drop me and my sister off at a sky castle. My sister runs off, while I just stay in the lobby of the castle to fix my laptop. I reset it several times, then I start resetting it in some bathroom. I become lucid, and wake up immediately but was able to chain using DEILD/FILD. I enter a lucid false awakening; nothing interesting except for a mini-Fluttershy that my sister insisted was a dog...

1/28/15
- I'm inside a house wearing only a towel. I roamed around looking for clothes, then I went outside, crossed the street and went inside another house and found a box with a jersey set and some stickers based on Starladder (Dota 2 tournament). I wore the jersey set and it was very tight. Later in the dream, in the tournament proper, I place one sticker on a bulletin board near the commentator panel.

- Playing Christmas-themed 1stGen-style Pokemon and Arteezy (another Dota 2 player) giving me game tips.
- Talking with my family about the tragic nature of the circle of life; I was even telling them a metaphor about a rabbit and some predator animal... then I notice Dendi (yet another Dota 2 player...) is in the room with us.
- A fragment about the Altador Cup, an event on a browser game site (Neopets) that I used to play as a kid.

1/30/15
- Sheldon from the Big Bang Theory getting insulted by someone who feels like his boss.

1/31/15
- A crazy sitcom set in Heaven, with me, my dad, some male angels, and God (who is apparently actually a girl angel in disguise) as characters.
- A crazy food fight in a restaurant, where food from thrown bowls explode violently.

Afterthoughts:
Haha, I went overboard with some of those entries... I'll make sure to be more concise for the next monthly summaries.
3 lucids this month! If my memory serves me correct, I had one lucid last November, and two last December. LD mastery, here I come!
Also, I should watch less Dota games...
