    A lucid I can't remember

So I got lucid! But I can't remember a single thing after doing a reality check. I was at my dad's in the backyard at nighttime, I can't remember what made me lucid, but I do remember doing a reality check. I think I tried doing my first task, but I don't know if I failed or not.

EDIT: Ah! I remember! Ok, I've been trying WakingNomad's magical reality check idea, which involves performing some act of dream control directly after doing a reality check in real life, so when you do a reality check in a dream, you do that form of control in a dream. I've been trying to grow wings in preparation for a task I've been wanting to try: shapeshifting into a dragon. After I did a reality check I grew a pair of wings. I felt them poke through the back of my shirt and spread out. They weren't dragon wings, rather they were feathery, like a bird or angel. After that I woke up.

Very cool that you remembered. I love/hate when that happens. Days can sometimes pass and then it's like a lightbulb goes off over my head
Sounds VERY awesome! My dream worlds are wonderful, vivid, filled with exquisite details. But the second I become lucid, my thinking mind takes over, I start to wake up and the details start to fade. The more I try to create something, the more unstable the dream gets. So I give up my lucidity to continue the dream
I admire that you were able to create any wings at all
      Good job!

Thank you. Yeah, it just came to me. I was really happy when I finally remembered it. If you start to wake up after becoming lucid, just remain calm. That's the best thing you can do. Do some reality checks and stabilizing techniques to try and prolong the dream. But if you just got unlucky and got lucid at the very end of a REM period then I doubt there's much you can do (besides a DEILD, anyway).

Having wings was really cool, if only for a few seconds. Can't wait to try a full shapeshift. If I can do this I can consider myself an expert at shapeshifting, having done many other ones. This will be the hardest yet.
