Memorable Dreams
Just remembered another dream fragment as I was scrolling through dream journals. Dream 3 (fragment): My childhood dog Stormy is in the house, playing with me, energetic as can be. Then I realize it's weird that I'm seeing her, I haven't seen her in a long time. Then I look over and my parent's current dog, Reilly, is laying on the floor. Stormy goes over to him and they start playing. It's good they can get along, I think. This could have been an obvious dreamsign, since Stormy died 5 years ago IRL, but I was too into the dream to realize. It was nice to see her, though.
I was watching Zombieland and totally just remembered my dream from last night. I was in a dark cave or castle or something, and this girl fell off a cliff and hit the ground. She didn't move, so I assumed she was dead. I didn't want to just leave her body there, all exposed and whatnot, so I found some white cloth and submerged it in water, so that when I dropped it, it fell straight down on top of her. After it covered her, she leaned up and tried to breathe in, but the wet cloth was suffocating her. She scrambled frantically to remove the sheet, but each time she got one layer off, there was another underneath. The choking and screaming she made was horrible. Eventually she was dead. That was definitely one of the most f'd up dreams I've ever had.
It's really hard to record dreams in the morning on days I have school, so this is just what I can remember. I'm in a big church for mass, and afterwards, I'm trying to find my way out before the next mass starts. I make my way into the small narthex, then down a flight of stairs into a sitting room, which also looks like a makeshift chapel. The procession is making its way through the sitting room toward the stairs. To the right is a great wooden door with stained glass windows. I ask a man near the door if I may exit this way. "Well, the customer is always right!" He says. I then leave and run down the paved parkinglot to the car. Someone is driving me, and while I'm on the highway I realize I have forgotten something in the sanctuary. I tell the driver to turn us around and head back to the church. Then I get a text from Kelsey asking me where I am. Apparently, I was supposed to go to mass with her and her family at the 9:30, but I already attended the 7:45. There is a cut-scene where Kelsey and her family arrive in a white car, and Kelsey exits the car wearing a fluffy white dress. Her parents, normally dressed, follow her into the church. I sneak back into the sanctuary through a door next to the altar. I spot Kelsey and her family in the pew where my stuff is. I try to sneak in without them noticing. I don't remember exactly how it happens, but Kelsey notices me and begins chasing me all throughout the building, yelling at me for ditching her mass. Near the end of the dream, I realize we were supposed to get married. Oops.
This is just a general thing, though I had a dream where I flew last night. Whenever I fly in my dreams, I always have to flap my arms as though they were wings, and it's as though I'm double-jumping like in a video game before I can actually take flight. Does this happen to anyone else?
((The dates on my DJ have been messed up, because I've been dating my dreams as occurring the night I go to sleep, when they usually occur in early morning, so it looks like I skipped a day but really I'm just doing things differently.)) I know I had more than one dream, but when I awoke from my first dream, I decided to not record it because something about it bugged me, like it was boring or something. All I remember is I was late for work. 1- The Poetic Parrot There was a brownish orange bird that flew down from the sky and landed on a lamp post. It began reciting a poem. When it was finished, it said, "That poem dates back to... what was it? 18..." All of the sudden, Stewie from Family Guy shouts from his stroller "ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!" The bird was taken aback by this. "Well, you have no pleasure in life at all!"
I totally forgot that I attempted a WILD before I fell asleep. Not because I thought it would work, but why the hell not? So I didn't really have one, but I definately felt vibrations. It was surprisingly a bit frightening. Vibrations, and a purple cloud that sparkled across my vision. There were also, at times, flashes of light, and a noise. But I don't remember the noise. Eventually I got up and went to the bathroom, lol. I also really wanted to open my eyes, but I was afraid that would make me too conscious. Any thoughts on how to improve these things??
