None lucid.
Many details. Trying to stretch my dream memory.
So, my first entry ever.
Here it goes.
I am on the road. Not sure where, not sure how I got there. It's sunny and hot. But I am on the road and not alone.
My best friend just beside me. He is wearing light summer clothes: stripped t-shirt, long grey shorts and, of course his most favorite accessory - hairband. He has his backpack mounted. Just as I saw him clearly I knew - we are hitchhiking to New York.
Well don't ask me why New York. But on the other hand - why not? Everybody want to go to New York at least once in their lifetime. Or so do I believe. But how to get there?
We started desperately look for signs to which direction we should go. And soon enough we have noticed few, and after another moment there were plenty of green signs hanging in the air or besides the road. You know, the usual ones. Hard to miss. But strange thing was, I could not recognize what they say! Any of them. I can't explain it. There was written something, but my mind just blocked to contemplate it. In the end, I was not even able to recall was it Latin alphabet or КИРИЛИЦА or أَبْجَدِيَّة عَرَبِيَّة or dubstep song written in words. And my friend looked no less confused than I was.
We had the destination and we were on the road, but we were lost without any direction.
I don't think I have said anything. Neither have my friend, but the conclusion was in the air - we need to find someone and ask how to get to New York. So I turned around and noticed that, in fact, there's a town suburb behind us. Next few moments was kind of a black out for me so it's hard to reason the choice but we ended up... Guess where? McDonald's - probably the most likely station in between anywhere and USA. If heaven was USA, I swear - McDonald's would be purgatory. Anyway.. We were there. Inside. It was packed. "Central McDonald's at 4:00am Friday night" kind of packed, except it wasn't central nor 4:00am. And there she was. A cashier which changed everything.
At that moment I had THAT kind of moment. You know, that Hollywood kind of THAT moment. People separated in McDonald's hallway in front of me, much like water separated before Moses eyes, and I saw her holding her chin in a palm. Everything turned in slow motion as I was looking to the most gorgeous girl. And then I saw my friends head band swinging in front of my eyes as he senselessly rushed to her. Like it's fit for a true bro'.
"How can we get to New Yourk?"
Funny thing, we did not really care about finding out where we were. We just wanted to know where to go.
Now hold on, next few moments are a bit blurry to me, so let me split it.
Girl talked.
Friend talked.
I watched.
My friend figured out how to get to New York.
I just did not care anymore about New York.
We have had one of those fights we occasionally do and it ended up in a known fashion.
He kept on going. I changed direction.
He walked out through the door.
I stayed and asked the girl out. She said yes.
*Wow, really. I, myself, am impressed.*
She said "yes" and immediately we were outside.
Dream became more vivid again. We were in the middle of a big city, full of rush. American fashion city, with yellow cabs and high skyscrapers. Have she taken me to New York? Teleportation was indeed possible, earlier events proved that already. Whatever the case, surroundings was unfamiliar. We were walking through the streets for a while and I had no idea where we were going, but I felt that I am leading.
Just for the record, my friend nowhere to be found.
We walked into a very strange building, and it suddenly struck me like it was the place we were going to in the first place! It was a museum, but very different from normal ones. It was huge square block, all gray and all glass. Sun was setting behind us and it casted evening type red reflections all over it. We went behind it to look for the entrance and there was a sign with big letters:
"RENAISSANCE
Entry from €33 to €55"
My reaction was: "I ain't gonna pay €55 for a museum!" It may not be the actual words I said. It may be there was some bad words involved. Who knows. But then I came up with another suggestion. "Let's have some ice-cream." Smooth, my other me. Very smooth. So we went the other way. I noticed we were not walking anymore. I was on the old school flair scooter while she was riding a bike.
Sadly, we could find no ice cream.
And so the dream ended.
And with it, my failed date.
