Memorable Dreams
(I am unsure how the dream started, so I will start from where I do remember.) I'm walking down a road with a woman under my left arm (which I felt like was my wife/gf in the dream). We were going to a restaurant but I forget which one. As we continued on, we passed an Olive Garden and I asked the woman if she would rather eat there instead of where we were initially headed. She answered rather indifferently so I decided to go inside. Immediately after entering the Olive Garden, I realized I was dreaming and decided this was the best place to do some experiments involving my 5 senses. First, I started touching my surroundings, however my sense of touch was much less sensitive than it usually is. Then I started testing my sense of hearing by simply listening to the hustle-and-bustle of the restaurant, which I could hear faintly. Satisfied, I started testing my sense of taste. This was difficult at first as I had nothing to eat, so I approached one of the tables and saw a woman eating chips and salsa. I reached over and took some (the woman gave me a look of approval, as if it was okay for me to take some). I believe I could taste the chips/salsa, however it was too faint to make a definitive answer. Unfortunately that was all the testing I could get in before my dream ended, but I do plan to continue my tests in future lucid dreams. Hopefully dreams that are more vivid as well .
The first thing I remember is being in a small park located in a city that looked vaguely reminiscent of New York. For some reason I am fighting off this blonde haired woman who is attempting to assassinate me for reasons unbeknownst to me. However, in the middle of out scuffle I realize that this entire entire experience is just a dream. I quickly calm myself from the initial adrenaline rush and begin rubbing my hands together to both stabilize and increase the vividness of the dream. It works a little bit, but not as much as I would have liked it too. After a bit more stabilization, I want to find my bearings when I see a door off to my right. I decide to enter it because I am intrigued as to where it might take me. I pass through the door and now find myself in a house that looks like a mish-mash of both my current living quarters and my previous home that I lived in as a child. I could tell it was sunset here, unlike the previous setting which was midday, and the sky was a very deep shade of orange. Deeper and more vibrant than any sunsets I have seen in real life. I slowly began exploring the house I noticed it had no artificial light sources of it's own, meaning the only available light came from the sun's rays shining through the house's windows. This made for a very strange, though beautiful lighting effect. I continued exploring the house when I came upon a hall way. I became curious to see how sensitive my sense of touch was in this dream, so I began dragging my hand across the wall as I walked down the hallway. The wall felt almost exactly like it would in real life, my sense of touch was extremely accurate. I finished testing my sense of touch for the moment as I came upon a room at the end of the hall way. It looked like my parent's room from my current house, however it was backwards from it actually was. The lighting in this room was also beautiful as the room had one large window that let the orange sunlight pour into the room. I admired the room for a little bit then decided to explore more of the house. After exploring some more I stumbled upon a room that looked my kitchen from a house I lived in many years ago. However, all of the chairs and tables were missing one or two of their left legs which made them lean over or tilt to the left. After observing the area for awhile I realized the dream was fading. I began rubbing my hands together to stabilize the dream and it worked. However, scared I would lose the dream I didn't actually stop rubbing my hands together after the stabilization was complete. I began exploring again when suddenly I felt something sticky between my hands. I stated investigating my hands but I didn't find anything that might have caused this sticky sensation. I decided to not to investigate the matter any more thoroughly and instead decided to continue my exploration. I began wandering around for awhile until I came upon the exit to the house. I decided to take my leave from the house and stepped outside onto a balcony/porch of sorts. The roof of this porch was very low lying (just a few inches taller than me) and there was a small wooden railing surrounding the balcony to prevent any accidental falls. As I looked around I saw the beautiful sunset in the distance off to my left and a baseball field directly in front of me, just a few yards away. There were 2 dream characters playing on the field and a crowd of people watching them. I jumped over the railing and approached the field to get a better look. After spectating the players for awhile I wanted to explore the dream world further. However, the my path was blocked by the baseball field and I didn't want to take the chance of across the field and getting hit in the head by a baseball. So I decided instead to walk around the baseball field, however, by the time I reached the first base I woke up.
I am with my family at the Mission City Orthodontist building I used to go to when I younger. The building itself had a different layout than the one I went to in real life and looked a little bit more futuristic but I somehow knew it was the same place. Apparently we came here so my brother could have his mouth x-rayed and examined in preparation for his braces. However, as we are all waiting for the the examination to be over, my mother disappears. The orthodontist finally returned with an x-ray in hand but he looked very disturbed. He proceeded to show us the x-ray he had with him, however, the x-ray was not of my little brother's jaw but of his hand. The x-ray showed there was a large red mass of some sort in his hand. The orthodontist explained that this mass was a malignant tumor. He then stated that he was fully capable of surgically removing this tumor but was unsure how successful it would be at stopping the cancerous growth from spreading. And, in fact, was unsure if it already had spread or not. My mother walked back into the room and I tried to explain to her what had just transpired. However, every time I tried she would cut me off or told me to stop. I told her it was extremely important but she didn't care. I was furious at her but also distressed at the news we received so I decided to leave and blow off some steam. When I finally left the building and shut the door screamed "god damnit". The last thing I remember is taking the car and driving around for quite a long period of time.
