    1. Olive Garden Experiments

      by , 10-31-2013 at 06:22 PM
(I am unsure how the dream started, so I will start from where I do remember.)

I'm walking down a road with a woman under my left arm (which I felt like was my wife/gf in the dream). We were going to a restaurant but I forget which one. As we continued on, we passed an Olive Garden and I asked the woman if she would rather eat there instead of where we were initially headed. She answered rather indifferently so I decided to go inside. Immediately after entering the Olive Garden, I realized I was dreaming and decided this was the best place to do some experiments involving my 5 senses.

First, I started touching my surroundings, however my sense of touch was much less sensitive than it usually is.
Then I started testing my sense of hearing by simply listening to the hustle-and-bustle of the restaurant, which I could hear faintly.
Satisfied, I started testing my sense of taste. This was difficult at first as I had nothing to eat, so I approached one of the tables and saw a woman eating chips and salsa. I reached over and took some (the woman gave me a look of approval, as if it was okay for me to take some). I believe I could taste the chips/salsa, however it was too faint to make a definitive answer.
Unfortunately that was all the testing I could get in before my dream ended, but I do plan to continue my tests in future lucid dreams. Hopefully dreams that are more vivid as well .
    2. Iron Man's Three Shacks

I am unsure of where the dream began but I find myself in a grass field of some sort and I am already lucid (though how I achieved lucidity is beyond me). I decide to walk around for awhile, just to soak in the dream, being cautious not to do anything that might wake me up prematurely. I explored for a few minutes until I was confident my dream was stable enough for me to do some more extreme stunts without jeopardizing the dream's integrity. I wanted to fly, as I hadn't done it in awhile and it's a experience that never disappoints. Having decided what I was going to do, I jumped into the air and, using my hands and my feet as thrusters, I rocketed into the air like Iron Man would and began flying around. I could feel the pressure of the thrusters on my hands and feet and sometimes the thrust on my hands was so powerful, I could barely keep my arms straight.

After while, I spotted a group of DC's chatting amongst one another and decide I should show off my abilities. I quickly flew down to my new found audience and, by manipulating the thrusters on my hands and feet, I bobbed and weaved through the crowd. So impressed was my entourage, that I overheard one of them ever state that my abilities were "godlike". Amused over the irony (and truth) of the DC's statement and my ego's appetite satisfied, I stopped showing off and continued exploring the dream world on foot.

I soon stumbled upon a small house/shack just a few yards away from the crowd of people I had amazed. However, before being given the chance to actually investigate further, I realized that the dream was fading. I began rubbing my hands together but to no avail. Quickly I began touching and feeling the wooden fence surrounding the shack, hoping the sensation of touch would stabilize the dream. This plan worked very effectively and now the dream was much clearer and more vivid than ever before. However, I knew it wouldn't last forever and that the dream would soon come to a natural end.

Realizing I didn't have much time left, I decided to conduct an experiment with the dream world. I wanted to test and see if dream memory was superior/inferior to our memory in reality. To do so, I was going to try and remember every detail I could about abandoned shack and it's surrounding environment. After a few minutes of observation, the dream ended.

(I would put down what I remember, but I am too lazy at the moment. Needless to say, I am quite surprised of all the details I seem o have remembered. It's not superhuman by any means, but I don't think I would have remembered so much in reality.)

    3. Hand Cancer (Mostly Fragments) 6/27/13

I am with my family at the Mission City Orthodontist building I used to go to when I younger. The building itself had a different layout than the one I went to in real life and looked a little bit more futuristic but I somehow knew it was the same place. Apparently we came here so my brother could have his mouth x-rayed and examined in preparation for his braces. However, as we are all waiting for the the examination to be over, my mother disappears. The orthodontist finally returned with an x-ray in hand but he looked very disturbed. He proceeded to show us the x-ray he had with him, however, the x-ray was not of my little brother's jaw but of his hand. The x-ray showed there was a large red mass of some sort in his hand. The orthodontist explained that this mass was a malignant tumor. He then stated that he was fully capable of surgically removing this tumor but was unsure how successful it would be at stopping the cancerous growth from spreading. And, in fact, was unsure if it already had spread or not.

My mother walked back into the room and I tried to explain to her what had just transpired. However, every time I tried she would cut me off or told me to stop. I told her it was extremely important but she didn't care. I was furious at her but also distressed at the news we received so I decided to leave and blow off some steam. When I finally left the building and shut the door screamed "god damnit".
The last thing I remember is taking the car and driving around for quite a long period of time.
