    1. Just Crazy Stuff

      by , 06-28-2012 at 06:54 PM
It was a romp through plain insanity this morning!

First I dreamed that I was in my old room back home listening to the radio and cleaning up. There was nothing good on the radio, so I turned it off. Then I started searching dresser drawers for this certain pair of underwear that I really wanted to wear the next day. They were a pair white bikini undies, brand-new and I couldn't find them. Finally after searching several different places, I found them just under the bed as if they had fallen there. I was happy. About that time I was hoping for some private time, but my mom came to the door. She was looking for a dress slip that nurses wore under their skirts. I had seen something like that in one of the dresser drawers, so I grabbed it and handed it to her through the door. It looked worn out and used by someone else, and I couldn't figure why she didn't buy a new one. When I went to close the door, a cat on the other side with my mom stuck it's paw through. My mom yelled for me not to close the door, that I might hurt the cat. I was getting frustrated because one thing or another kept distracting me. Finally I got the cat out of my room and then my mom wanted to talk. Oh boy. That's where part 1 ended.

Dream part 2 consists of me driving a white van on the interstate with a bunch of other vehicles, like in a convoy. I have no idea where we were going, but in the dream I knew what I was doing. I drove on an over pass and continued to a strange junction with a lot of lanes. I took the one I was supposed to, but it went into a tunnel and the tunnel led to - the inside of an apartment building! It was a new apartment building and construction was not finished. I was driving the van down a hallway and everyone else was still following!! Suddenly I noticed a lot of debris up ahead and it looked like a hole. I slammed on the van's brakes and slid to a stop right at the edge. It was awful. The debris had partially covered a gigantic, dark pit I couldn't see the bottom of. I had just nearly driven all of us into it, but stopped in the nick of time. I got out and looked at where we were. It was ridiculous. We were in a wallpapered hallway with lights and everything. A huge white van was sitting right in the middle, smack on top of the debris pile with the front tires on the edge of the pit. I had stopped so fast, one tire was flat. I was talking with the other people, and we agreed that we should just go downstairs and leave the vehicles where they were. Wow.
    2. Nighttime Visitor

This is a strange one. I dreamed that my husband and I were having some work done on the back of our house. He had hired two guys to do most of the work. One of them was an older, short and kind of stocky man from Mexico. He apparently had a crush on me and liked to follow me around. Nighttime came, and my husband and I were getting ready for bed. The workers were supposed to have left much earlier. I was turning out the lights in the kitchen when I saw someone move outside the window. I shut off the lights immediately and ran to hide in the front part of the house. It looked like the worker with the crush, but why was he there so late? Suddenly, I heard footsteps. He had gotten in the house somehow! I hid in a small bed and covered myself with blankets. Surely he couldn't see me or know I was there in the dark. The footsteps got closer and closer and louder. Finally, I could tell he was in the room with me. I was near panic. I was could tell he was close by, and I was afraid he would try to restrain me. My heart was pounding. I wanted to scream so my husband could hear me, but no sound would come out. He kissed my ear instead.

I woke up immediately from this dream and sat up in bed. To my horror, there was someone standing beside my bed! I thought it was a home invasion. I jumped so hard and grabbed my husband with both arms. For once, he did not wake up. The figure looked like a tall and rather thin young man. He jumped back when I moved and appeared to be rather cowed, as if he had not meant to frighten me. We stared at each other for what seemed like a long while. It was dark, but I could see his form, just not his face. Then he faded away like mist. It was about 2:30 am. My heart pounded for awhile after this. My chest hurt like I was going to have a heart attack.

Perhaps my brain was slow to regain consciousness and my dream was pasted over reality somehow? If this was so, then why did the man change from how he looked in the dream? Why was I able to stare at him for so long? Or he could have been a ghostly visitor perhaps, and my brain made up the dream as a result of his visit?
    3. Demonic Intruder

Well, can't say I'm thrilled with this morning's dream. The only humorous element was the fact that it took place in The Jefferson's TV show apartment! That was funny, and I liked being able to walk around and see it from the perspective of actually being there.

Anyways, while I was exploring the place I noticed someone move in one of the back bedrooms. It was a guy with short curly black hair, light - almost grayish skin, and he moved in a slow, slinking way that made me feel uncomfortable. He wore a navy or black polo shirt and jeans. I knew in my gut that I had to stay away from him. He looked like a normal guy, but once he saw me, he began to morph into a more demonic appearance - heavy brow ridge, squinty evil eyes, lean ugly face, fangs, but no horns oddly.

He came after me then, and the rest of the dream was me running from room to room trying to hide behind furniture or camera equipment and stay away from him. I kept hoping someone else would see him and stop him, but no one seemed to think anything strange about him. At least he never did catch me. This dream bothered me because I really felt afraid during it. I don't like feeling afraid. I don't really believe in things like that, but there I was afraid, angry and on the run in this dream. After I woke up, the uneasy feeling stayed with me for awhile. Why would I dream something so abstract and be afraid of it? I am pondering that, but I really don't know.
    4. Early Mornin' Hankerin'

Funny one this morning, but interesting all the same.
I dreamed I was sleeping on the fold out bed back at my parents' house. It was a sleepy, rainy morning. My old friend Luke, the rock vocalist, was there with me. We wanted to make love, so I got up to shut the door. I was unable to shut it quietly (which is pretty true to waking life), so my mom heard me and nobody's dummy, knew what we were up to.
So Luke and I got up and headed outside to the garden potting shed (which my parents do not have in waking life). It had been raining, and everything was soaking wet. There wasn't even a place to sit. After looking around and realizing this was not going to work, we went to the barn (also something my parents do not have in waking life).
We figured the loft would be nice and dry and cozy. We climbed up into the hay and were just getting started when my mom came wandering in! Sheesh. We quickly dressed again and tried to be quiet hoping she wouldn't notice us up in the loft. And that's where the dream ended. Wonder what that one meant? Maybe my brain was just rehashing what Luke had told me years back about doing a girl in a barn and liking it? Strange, I hadn't thought about him in a long time. Maybe my brain just wanted to have some fun, but mother figure always stifled fun.
