Hopefully, using this online Dream Journal will help me to remember to write down my dreams and improve my recall!

    1. Night of 25 July 2011

      by , 07-26-2011 at 09:14 PM
I had two lucid dreams that I remembered when I woke up. I had others, but I forgot them almost on purpose so as to not forget any details of my lucid dreams.

Dream One: I start the dream out that I'm in some kind of port town. Like a cross between Montevideo, Uruguay, and Venice, Italy. I am with friends from school. The group is being led by my Spanish teacher, who leads the missions trips to Uruguay in real life. The group is having dinner at a restaurant. My girlfriend and I decided to finish our dinner early so that we can head back to the hotel to talk about something. I walked into the hotel room and took off my jacket, throwing it on my friend's bed. There were about ten queen size beds in this large hotel room, where the entire group slept. I threw myself face-down on my messy bed. The blankets were soft and slightly cooler than room temperature, and they had a deep purple color on a texture that was similar to that of my couch upholstery. The blankets were about one inch thick, and the undersides were made of wool and were a slightly lighter shade of purple. I grabbed the nearest pillow and pulled it underneath my head and chest. I turned on the TV without the remote, as is the nature of interacting with objects in a dream. As soon as I turned on the television, my girlfriend called out to me and asked me to follow her. At first I was hesitant to follow, since I was so tired, but I gave in and struggled to pull myself out of the bed. I followed her down a flight of stairs that led to a small lobby, then out into the streets. We walk across the street to a blue platform floating on the water. The platform is covered in the same material used on gymnastics pads. Like a cheap pleather. There is a helicopter on the pad, and J turns to me with a deviant grin and beckons me, "Get in!" I climb in and wonder how in the world my girlfriend knows how to pilot a helicopter. But sure enough, she messes around with some controls and pulls up on a joystick-like controller and we raise to the skies. We fly about 50 meters above the water as we pass orange metal structures used to unload large freight ships. I am unaware of where we are going, but we slowly fly closer and closer to the water. Once we are about 5 meters away from touching the surface of the water, I ask J, "Don't you think we're a little close to the water?" She replies, "Hmm, I guess you're right." It seemed that she was preoccupied, and she didn't notice how close the water was. She pushes in on the stick, bringing us inches from the surface before pulling sharply up. The tail rotor crashed into the water and we spun around quickly and we are quickly sucked underneath the surface of the water. I find myself holding onto the tail of the helicopter. I let go and float to the surface. I look around but can't see J. I panic, and my voice cracks as I scream, "J, let go of the helicopter!" All I can think about is her being hit by the overhead rotor, but soon I see her come out of the water crying. I grab hold of her and we swim to another platform similar to the one we found the helicopter on. We lay on the platform catching our breath as I feel the warm sun drying us off. A man dressed as a ship attendant comes out from behind a metal column holding a briefcase. "My helicopter!" J yells. It immediately became apparent that this briefcase transforms into the helicopter. Apparently a safety feature allows it to transform back into the briefcase and float. J is stunned and apologizes, saying that she just wanted to take me out to a nice restaurant for dinner. The dream skips ahead and I find myself in a white suburban. I am driving, J in the passenger seat. As is normal when driving in dreams, I have a very hard time stopping the car. I continuously run stop signs. At one red light, there is a man who looks similar to Benny Hinn dressed in all white. He is ministering the gospel to people as they are stopped at the red light. But he does not walk nor stand, he levitates. My heart rushes when I see the man levitating, and I know I must talk to him. But, as it would be, I cannot stop at the red light. I turn into the left turn lane, and try to make a U-turn. The horrible turning radius of the suburban does not let me turn around in two lanes, so I throw the car into reverse and reverse back into the turning lane, this time facing the opposite direction. I throw the car back into drive, and I speed back to the man. Once again, I cannot stop in time, but I turn to see the man in the window of his house. My dream-vision zooms in, and I watch as he levitates in the window. There is no deceit, the man is actually levitating. I pull to the side of the road and park. At this point, my focus is on talking with this man, so J disappeared at some point. I run across the street, but there is no sidewalk, so I must climb onto a brick fence to get to the man. As I run along the fence, there is a yellow and black lizard about two feet long in the ivy on the left side of the fence. He yells something about how the devil was not a snake, but rather it was a serpent, or a lizard. Maybe this serpent was the devil in my dream. I can never find this man in white, but soon I find myself driving the same white suburban down a dirt road at night. My headlights are awfully dim, and I can barely see anything. I hear the engine begin to sputter, and I try to turn on my bright lights. The would not turn on, and soon the car begins to slow down. I immediately feel like I'm in a horror movie, and I thought it was either similar to Texas Chainsaw Massacre or an alien film. I immediately jump out of the car and scream "HELP! GET OVER HERE!" and soon I am surrounded by five German children aged about 6-13. I cannot tell if they are good or bad, but I figure I must go along with it, since I am in a dream. Hey, I guess I'm lucid! I was only semi-lucid, so I decided to just watch and see what happens, but I could rest assured knowing that I can take control at any point. They took me to their house, where their dad was angry with them about how much drugs the children do. He is angry about it since they stay at home rather than go to school, but the kids just tell him there is nothing he can do about it. They pull out a cigar box and start smoking joints inside it. They open up a secret room in the wall and go inside to a basement like area. The room is very smoky, and they are playing poker. I decide to go outside, where it is once again daytime. I am in a suburban neighborhood similar to my own. I once again find myself driving the white suburban, and as I am driving I spot Ashley's grandmother getting her mail. I decide I wanted to go say hello, so I followed her as she entered a house. I walked up to the door, still knowing that this is a dream. The door was locked but it had a keypad entry. I figured since this was a dream I could just try my own key code. Some numbers were missing from the keypad, so I decided to just follow the pattern. As I pressed the second number, the door opened on its own. I walked inside and I was greeted by a small child with blond hair and blue eyes. He said I had to meet his mother, so he took me by my hand and led me up a set of wooden stairs with black wooden railings. I reach the top of the stairs and he shows me his "mommy." He then walks downstairs. His mother was a young brunette, probably in her mid-twenties. She wore a red polo with light khaki Capri leggings with no shoes on. For some reason, we had to have sex for some purpose. So we did things that I shall not record before the dream faded out. I would guess that my last lucid moment was opening the door to this house.

Dream Two: Many things happen in the beginning of this dream that I cannot recall. I briefly remember being at my neighborhood park at nighttime with my deceased paternal grandfather. At some point I ended up at a pavilion where a country event was taking place at night. There was hay everywhere, and everyone was dressed in their cowboy best. I immediately realized it was a dream, and I wanted to find J and take her on a lucid adventure. I guess I wasn't lucid enough to realize that she was just another dream character! I find her, and I grab her hand and drag her into the darkness where a white truck was parked. We got into the truck, and I explained to her that this was a dream, and that no one is real. Then I briefly considered in my head whether or not J was real, but I convinced myself that I was sharing this dream with her. I don't know if I knew where to go, but I told her that we should take advantage of this shared dream time to do things that we can't do in real life with each other. She told me that where I wanted to go would take a long time to get there by car, so I laughed and said "Don't worry, I can do anything in a dream. I'm virtually omnipotent." This seemed to impress her, and it made me feel good about myself. So we take off towards a fence and I visualize the truck flying off into the sky. It responds as so at the last second. We were flying in a truck! J was so excited, but the truck was very slow at flying and it was hard to control. We hovered over what I thought was an abandoned house, and then I had to figure out how to land it. As soon as I thought that thought, the truck disappeared and we free-fell 30 feet to the ground. Of course, we were unharmed. J's dad was working in the front yard, and he asked me to take down a soap-box derby car. I figured I had time to do this rather than trying to ignore him. So I took it down, and it had my sister's name written on the front of the car. It was the exact same soap box derby car that she raced. I asked him why he had my sister's car, and he said that my mom had asked him to keep it here since we don't have any space at my house. Then he asked me to hang it back up in the tree. I did so, without even realizing how weird it is to keep a race cart in a tree in your front yard. So I told J that we should go inside. Once again, I faced a locked front door. I remembered my earlier dream that I could unlock doors, but this door did not have a keypad. So I pressed my thumb against the padlock, and visualized the padlock sliding out of the door frame. I heard a click, and I opened the door. I walked inside and wondered whether or not the house had an alarm system. As soon as I thought that, an alarm went off. I walked to the master's bedroom, where he was half asleep. I made sure to make it seem like this type of thing happens all the time (breaking and entering), and I casually asked the master what his code was. He responded 3449 or 3446. I entered the code, calling it out "3446[/9], pound" and he said, "No pound." I entered it again, but it didn't work. I told the man it was his problem, and that he needed to deal with it. He sighed a tired sigh and picked up the telephone and dialed a number. I left the room, and walked upstairs were there were two small rooms. One in front of me, and one to my right. J asked me which room I wanted to hang out in, and I chose the room on the right. There were two bunk beds that were very small, like twin beds cut in half. J started to take things off of the bed so that we could get in. I'm not sure if we were intending to do anything sexual at first, but we eventually started taking off our clothes. Nothing ended up happening, because as I was taking off my shoes my alarm clock went off, waking me up.

Sidenotes: Sexual dreams are weird. I am not sexually active, and don't plan to be before marriage. But it's weird that, as a virgin, I am still able to experience feelings of certain things (i.e. intercourse) that I have never had before. But I guess it's normal to have these dreams, and I'm not going to pretend that they aren't fun!

Both dreams were lucid and had common elements:
      Driving white vehicles
      Flying in a vehicle
      Crash landing from the vehicle
      Difficulty controlling the vehicles
      Had J in them
Had events take place at night
      Involved suburban neighborhoods
Had houses with locked front doors that I was able to unlock by knowing I was dreaming
Both had keypads (front door vs. alarm system)
      Ended during sex

      Lucid! Advanced Task completed!

The dream goes on for what seems to be an hour, with many things happening that I can't recall. I vaguely remember asking my sister to look at my back and see if I have a tumor. Anyways, I'm with my classmates heading to class for the first day of school. We get to the door (for some reason our new homeroom is in the grammar school hallway) and I look at the detention log and somehow that reminds me: I'm now senior. So I say aloud to my friends, "Woah guys, I just realized: we're seniors now! It's our last year of high school!" They all look stunned and amazed by this revelation. Then I think to myself, "Wait a second... I'm not a Senior... I'm a Junior..." Dream check. DREAMING. I announce to my friends, "I'm dreaming! Clap for me!" Everyone cheers and whistles at my victory. I can only think of how trivial this moment is, and while they are accurate representations of the appearances and personalities of my friends, they're all false images created by my mind. At some point the scenery had changed, and we're in the Library Lab rather than in a grammar school classroom. I'm pacing around the classroom trying to remember my goal. I am flooded with goals that I think my friends suggested. At some point I consider having a duel with one of them to tell them at school, but I thought this would be a waste of time. I'm more interested in achieving goals and learning. I must have a goal, I would never go to sleep without one... Then I remembered and shouted, "November Task of the Month!" I remembered my induction practicing of what I thought would be an appropriate 'physical model' of Dream Views. I close my eyes and visualize the scene. I crouch down as if prepare for a race, then with a surge of energy I charge and rip my eyes open. My first attempt at teleportation: a success. And I even invented my own method without having to think how I would do it. Awesome. The scene is exactly as I had been visualizing it to be in the waking reality: a green hill jutting randomly above the horizon with the backdrop of a cloudy blue sky. I charge up the hill towards the dream characters that I imagined to be members of the Dream Views community. As I get closer, I begin to see them better. They're dressed exactly the same, all they're clothes grey and their skin a slightly lighter shade of the same color. They're all slouched and have no faces, just blank zombie like positions as they stumble around 'interacting' with one another. The meaning hits me: I'm just a speck of a person among a community of cookie-cutter stereotypes. I have no importance, nor do any of these 'individuals.' Maybe a reflection of how I view the world? I try conversing with one, but they all seem to convey the same message to me: that it doesn't make a difference. While this may seem depressing, it was actually nearly joyous in the dream. All I could do is marvel at the revelation that was before me; what dreams could show me. I walk around for about a minute longer among the zombies, then decide that this was enough for one dream. I wake up to record my experience.

Lucid dream! Task of the month!

I am sitting at the kitchen table doing physics homework. I see my dog barking, and it is chasing a mouse. "Oh not again," I think to myself. The mouse heads for the door as if it knew what it should do, and crawled underneath it. I stand up trying to find something to throw at it while thinking that I used a tennis ball last time (in the dream it was a regular occurrence to see mice). I look underneath the table and there are two tennis balls. I pick them up, and look for the mouse. It crawled by the wall, and I throw the first one and hit its tail. I grab the second ball and throw it at the mouse as it heads towards the table. I hit it dead on, and it flipped over. I picked it up between my index finger and thumb, and the mouse regained consciousness, except it had somehow shrunk down to about an inch long. It started squeaking and bit my thumb, but it didn't hurt. I got distracted by the dog knocking over its water bowl, and the mouse had managed to squeeze out of my fingers. It hit the ground and ran behind the refrigerator, reappearing on the other side as a bigger mouse. I said, "That's it," and grabbed a dish towel near me. I started chasing it while smacking it with the towel, wondering why I hadn't used a towel in the first place. I made contact with the mouse the first time, and it flew at the door as I made contact with it. It started crawling up the door, and I thought to myself, "Mice can walk up walls!?" So I ran to the door and gave the mouse a good solid whack, and it fell to the floor. Then my dead cat ran into the kitchen and grabbed it. Seconds later, I looked down at the floor and there are two dead mice that are bleeding with teeth marks in them. I thought, "There was only one mouse, I must be dreaming!" Surely, I did a reality check and I was dreaming. I want to go outside, and the nearest way out is a window. I think "Should I shatter it?" but change my mind and decide to pass through it unharmed. When I made contact with the glass, it seemed to split open fluidly, and seemed to suck me through to the outside world. It was either dawn or dusk, and the sky was a dark purple color. I do some stabilization techniques, while thinking, "What will they do, I already have as much detail as real life?" I rub my hands and nothing happens, I'm already fully conscious and stabilizing seems pointless. I remember some people said to shout things. I couldn't remember what to shout and it came out as, "Clarity! Dream Clarity!" it doesn't seem to make anything change. I want some light, so I try to move the sun up. I close my eyes and imagine it coming up over the horizon. I point a little below the earth, and exhale while moving my finger slowly up. The sun moved along with my finger and lit up the world. Then I wake up, and I look to my window and see outside. I know this isn't a dream, since I have such accurate results on the weather. I sigh, and do a reality check just because. "Oh my goodness, I'm dreaming!" I shout as the reality check fails. Then the dream shifted around me and I'm in an office building. There are three people here: a young blond man, an old woman wearing a pink knitted sweater, and her husband who was constantly griping and needed a shave. I somehow knew that one time the young man got fed up with the old people and blew up the building, and this is a second chance for me to change what happened in the past. From here the dream goes on for quite a while, and many things happen that I do not remember clearly. I get a little wrapped up in the storyline, and I lose lucidity. Suddenly, at some point along this, I remember "Oh I gotta refocus on things, this is a dream." and I start thinking of what to do. "Task of the Month!" I remind myself. I get excited, and feel quite proud of myself that I remembered it. I sit down at one of the office desks, and turn on the computer. The screen is blank, so I keep typing random things. The desktop appeared, and I clicked Mozilla Firefox. I go to the top and type in "Drea" trying to get to dreamviews, and it shows up in the history and I click on it. I see the forums page of dreamviews, and click on chat. I automatically enter the chatroom, and I say, "Hello?" No response for quite a while. I figure that it's not working, so I reach into my pocket and pull out my cellphone. I unlock it, and go to text messages. A blank conversation is already open with someone I cannot remember, but it didn't matter. I typed, "Is there something you want me to know?" and pressed send. I didn't get a reply for a while, then they suddenly replied, "Yes, you can do it all." I smile, and then the dream starts to reattach itself to the storyline. A man pulls up with a truck full of gas, and I know it's going to explode. The man gets out and throws himself against the window, committing suicide. Then the truck somehow catches on fire, but no one notices. The old woman calls her husband, and she just keeps saying to the phone, "I love you, Fred. I love you, Fred." And he shouts back into the phone, "Oh, shut up, Donna!" I think this is horrible, since they're about to die and they hate each other. I walk away down a hallway, and the dream loses focus and I wake up.
    4. Icky Rain

      by , 10-21-2010 at 11:17 AM
I'm posting this dream because it is quite funny. When I woke up I couldn't stop laughing:

I am standing in a window, watching the rain storm outside. I get the sudden urge to run in the rain, and I touch the glass. The glass is warm and I can feel every drop of rain that hits it. I say aloud, "Eww, that's icky rain." and then the fun beings. I say to myself, "Now, you may ask, 'Grant, how did you come up with such a creative and incredulous name such as 'Icky Rain'?' Well I'll tell you, my friend. I first came to the conclusion that this is, indeed, rain of the same origin as pleasure-giving rain. It must have came from the same clouds as a pleasant shower, but under much different circumstances. No, my brother, I tell you. This rain is rain from the heavens but it had its birth in Hades. It is composed of the same molecules, but these molecules behave quite differently than the molecules of the ideal raindrop. These move faster, further, and are nigh unstoppable. These raindrops... have.... HEAT!" I say, putting one hand into another for extra wrathful and angered effect. "No, this heat is quite different from that in your easy bake oven, little man. This heat is unpleasant and undesired. If it had a mother it would be rejected as an unwanted child. These foul drops hit this window with a scream, as they feel their short lives coming to an end. They all shall die. None shall be spared. We can not live in the same world as an everliving icky waterdroplet. No, I tell you again, their crimes must be stopped." I finish with such passion as though I had just finished giving a speech. Normally I can't remember much dialog in dreams, but this one has stuck with me for some reason.

I incubated a lucid dream! Yay! It's the only dream I remember (pshh lucid dreams are the only dreams worth remembering ) so here goes:

I had just entered a building after having some sort of meeting over a dinner with someone who I didn't like. Suddenly I'm watching this video on a TV on the wall of a war in a desert area. I become immersed in the video, and it becomes the dream. As soon as I noticed I was in a desert I became lucid. I shouted, "I DID IT!!!" I try hard not to get overly excited. I was in an area that was barren except for a few shacks. I was in a desert, and it seemed depressing. I jumped into the air and flew away (flying seemed really easy this time after having practiced in previous lucid dreams). I came to a very small concrete building. I went inside for a few seconds, but nothing interested me so I went back outside. The area had changed, and instead of it being a complete desert, it was like a dry part of Texas or something. There was a hill in front of me that was covered in wildflowers. It was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen in my life. I walk up to the flowers and try to concentrate on them in an attempt to add more detail. It worked, but unlike when I tried this in another lucid, it didn't make it seem any more detailed than real life. The most appealing flower was this white rose type of flower, that the whole plant was just covered in white. It was beautiful. My mom loves flowers, so I reached into my pocket and pulled out a camera. I took a snapshot of it wanting to show her in real life. Then a lucid dreamer friend's voice comes into my head and says "That's a stupid idea." I knew it was stupid to take the picture, but I figured it didn't really matter. So I walked back to the building while repeating "I am dreaming" to make sure I stay lucid. The inside of the building is eerily large, and feels like a security center. The walls are covered in a strange plastic, and I get the urge to walk on it. So I walk up to the wall and place one foot on it. I close my eyes while imagining the transition of my view to change, while telling myself that this is a normal thing that I do a lot. I pull my other leg off the ground and place it on the wall. It worked! It was a ton of fun to walk on the walls, seeing the puzzled faces of dream characters. I walked on the ceiling shouting at some dream characters, and they were pretty frightened. When walking on the walls/ceiling, it didn't feel like I was sideways or upside down. Rather I was on the ground, and the dream characters were sideways/upside-down. I knew that there was fighting going on outside, and a mother and daughter ran up to me screaming for help. I didn't care to help them, but I brought them along since I wanted to see their reactions to things. I found some glass windows, and put the tips of my fingers against it. While slightly pushing against it, I closed my eyes and imagined it shatter in slow motion. I made a little sound effect "tshhh" while pulling away quickly and the window shattered. Successfully in slow motion. It made this amazing noise when it shattered, and seemed to linger in the air while it was slowly falling apart like a high pitched humming. The mother and daughter were amazed at the glass slowly moving, and the put their hands in the middle of the slow explosion and touched the shards of glass that were floating. It was by far one of the coolest things I have ever seen in my life, and I felt very accomplished that I had such good control. Then I heard my mom and dad's voices, and I thought it was them speaking in the real world. I started thinking about my body, which made the dream start to fade. At this point, I felt very satisfied and was ready to let go of the dream, but I didn't give up. I rubbed my hands together, which added a lot of clarity, but as soon as I stopped I started losing clarity again. So I tried to dream spin. While spinning I thought, "Hey this would be a good time to try to teleport!" So I thought of the first place I could think of: London. Shortly afterwards, I woke up.

The dream lasted about 30 minutes long, so it was quite lengthy which makes me confident that I'll have great lucids in the future! The dream ended around 5:20am, after 7 hours of sleep.

I'm back home from the retreat and ready to start dreaming again! For the MILD-1 class, my current goal is to incubate a lucid dream where I am flying in a desert. No success in this last night. I had two medium dreams, and one quite lengthy dream.

Dream 1: I know this one was a lengthy dream, but since it was very early on in the night I can barely remember anything. It is what seems the start of a new year at my school, and we are getting put into new houses (My school uses the house system like in Harry Potter). I get assigned into Phoenix, and am kind of mad since I've always been in Gryphon. I don't understand why this year they're changing the house system. After assigning everyone new houses, we go outside for some house games. The first game is baseball. It seems that if you do really well, you can choose what house you want to be put in. I was up to bat and the pitcher pitched a lightning fast ball, I got a strike. Something wasn't right though, the balls were oddly shaped and seemed to be made out of clay. The pitcher gets ready to pitch again, and I tap the home plate with my bat and ready up. He pitches, and I swing at air and miss. Apparently, the pitcher had thrown the ball way out of bounds, and it would have been a ball but since I swung, it counted as a strike. Quite frustrated at this point, I get ready for the next ball. Before I know it, the pitcher throws me a ball. I squeeze my eyes shut and swing as hard as I could. I hit the ball square on, and it shatters into pieces. The bat was vibrating as I dropped it, then the dream faded.

Dream 2: I was at school, but the building was completely different. I'm in grammar class, and my grammar teacher from last year is teaching. She seems angry, and ends up assigning math homework. Someone asked her what gave her the right to assign us math homework, since she's the grammar teacher. She said that any homework she assigns should be done unquestionably. Everyone goes home, and I go to get some ice cream. When I found it in the freezer, it was frozen solid. I remembered that my teacher gave me advice earlier, to turn the microwave on setting 200 and microwave it for 4 seconds. I went to the microwave, and found a knob on the side of it that I could twist. It seemed that when I twisted it, it went two numbers up, then one number back. So it took me a while, but I eventually got it to 200. I took the tub of ice cream and placed it in the microwave and decided to microwave it for 4 seconds. 4 seconds later, I got my ice cream and sat down in the living room. A strange commercial came on, where a really fancy restaurant was shown, with it dimly lit and the tables seemed very high tech. A man was talking about how his restaurants strive to give the best food, then he started naming a few plates. At the end, I saw that the commercial was for Luby's. I thought that was really strange, since the Luby's near us is the nicest Luby's I've ever seen and it is still disgusting. My sister walks into the kitchen, and pours some stew out of a pitcher into a bowl. She then puts it in the microwave for 84 minutes. I said, "No! Don't do that, I have the settings set for 200!" She didn't seem to care. A few seconds later, her stew was done. Those were some fast 84 minutes. It was boiling and had exploded all over the microwave.

Dream 3: I started out at a museum with my father. He seemed really excited, and got a call on his cell phone. It was my sister. She's coming to the museum. She arrived here with her and her boyfriend, then a guy from my school showed up. He parked really badly, so I decided to just pick up the car and place it where it should be. I gripped the GMC emblem on the front of his truck and pulled up. The emblem snapped off, and I panicked. The owner didn't seem to care, but I figured out how to fix it. Apparently, it was all attached through some strange magnetic wires, so I fixed it. A bunch of strange things were wrong with his truck, but he told me to ignore them. I started going to the museum, when suddenly the guy from my school started to panic, apparently he forgot about his cousin's funeral. I said I'll go with him, and we got in the truck and sped to the funeral. At the funeral, they had to body for the girl since she drowned in a small pond and her body was decayed. Everyone seemed really angry at one kid who was there, everyone thought he killed the girl. For some reason, I felt like I could really relate to this kid, so at that moment I took it upon myself to investigate the girl's death. I walked to the pond where she drowned, accompanied by the accused kid. Apparently they had a clubhouse in the reeds surrounding this pond, and the only way to get to the clubhouse was to go underwater. I jumped in and found the entrance to the clubhouse, and inside it was quite large with just a table made of paper in the middle. I wondered how the paper table survived through rain and other bad weather, and just decided that it must be coated in wax. There were some papers on the table. Each paper had a picture of each child in the club, but it was very poorly photoshopped to turn each one into a vampire. The kid told me that it was these pictures that convinced the investigators that he was guilty, since they thought he was a vampire. I was determined to prove his innocence, and the kid thanked me and gave me a strange power. He said to use it to go underground and attack my enemies from below. I knew exactly what it did somehow, and didn't even bother practicing with it. I went to the funeral with the photoshopped images in hand, and confronted the crowd. I tried to explain that they were fakes, and it was clearly obvious. No one would listen, instead they thought that I was an enemy! They got up to attack me, but I took out the paper table that was in the clubhouse and used it as a parachute to jump off a nearby cliff. I landed in a cave with a cyclops. The cyclops seemed very angry at me for disturbing his house, and I somehow knew that I had to kill the cyclops to prove the kid innocent. I jumped up in the air and squeezed my eyes shut and started to twist my body in air. When I hit the ground, it seemed to suck me into it until I was completely buried. "WHERE HUMAN GO!?" shouted the Cyclops. The dream became third person at this point, but I could feel my body. I crouched down underground and sprung towards the cyclops. I traveled extremely fast underground, and when I was underneath the cyclops, I jumped up and stabbed him with my sword. He screamed in frustration, but said that he had a gift for me. He said he was told by the gods to give this to the man with power. It was a portal gun from the game Portal. Then the cyclops ran away. I knew he would die of his wounds so I didn't bother pursuing him. Instead, at this moment I saw many more cyclops, but they were working carrying boulders some place. Instead of facing them all at once, I used the portal gun to teleport them to me one at a time. When they popped next to me, I slashed at them with my sword until they exploded. As I was finishing off the last of the cyclopes, the dream faded.

Three dreams recalled from last night. One lucid!

Dream 1: In this dream I was playing Call of Duty (I normally don't play often, but lately I've kinda picked it up out of boredom), and was rocking at it (I suck at it in reality). I changed my killstreaks to Predator Missile, Precision Airstrike, and AC130. I never have this setup, since I can never get more than like... 5 kills in a row. But anyways, in the dream I was running around with a UMP just destroying, mainly with good knife kills. Then when I finally got the AC130, I got shot down like right away.

Dream 2: This dream is kind of obscure, since in the middle of the night I just wrote down "5:30 don't wake me up." I vaguely remember the basis of this dream. I was woken up at 5:30 (the dream took place much earlier in the morning) by my mom, and I got really mad at her since she interrupted a good dream, and since it was 5:30 I had gotten enough sleep where it would be hard to fall back asleep.

Dream 3: I was at a school dance, but it wasn't at my school. It was in some kind of place that seemed like a mini-cafeteria. No one was dancing though, and there wasn't any music. But everyone was having a ton of fun. Anyways, we all decided to go outside, and there were a bunch of people walking around that don't go to my school. I remember looking at an old lady sitting on a bench, and wondering why she was here. There was this huge water tower next to her, that all my friends wanted to go into. We started climbing the ladder, and once we got about 75 feet high, I got really scared. I remember thinking to myself that it was weird, since I'm rarely afraid of heights. So I jumped off of the ladder (while I was still 75 feet up) and landed on the ground. As if it was normal. Then it hit me, I was dreaming. So I said, "Wait, if this is just a dream, why am I afraid of heights!? I can't get hurt!" So I started climbing the ladder. By the time I reached the top, lucidity was lost (awww.). I entered the tower, and seemed like a pit that had metal pathways going from room to room in the water tower. But no one was supposed to be here. At this point, all my friends were gone and this was my mission. There were a bunch of robot guards walking the pathways, making it nearly impossible to sneak around. I got caught, and was thrown out of the tower. But it didn't harm me, so I kept retrying over and over, about 10 or so times. Then I got the idea just to make a run for it and not let the robots catch me, and I made it to a door. When I walked in, it was an orchestra in the middle of a rehearsal. I got really embarrassed that I interrupted this, and it somehow made me wake up.

I have a bunch of extremely small fragments rushing through my head, but I cant make sense of any of them. I can only recall two dreams, the rest of them were lost in my terrifying awakening. I tried the technique that I read somewhere on the forums that said to tie a cardboard square to your wrist to help induce lucidity. Well I tied the cardboard square with a rubber band, and when i woke up I had no feeling or control of my hand for about a minute. One of the scariest things I've experienced. Anyways, two dreams:

Dream 1: I arrive at school and see lucid dreamer friend. I wonder if I should ask him whether or not he lucid dreamed over the weekend, since I kinda feel like I started to annoy him asking all these questions about lucid dreaming once i found out that he's a lucid dreamer. But he comes up to me, very happy and tells me about his lucid dream. I don't remember it though.

Dream 2: I am on vacation in some city with my mom. Feels like miami. Basically the whole dream plot unfolds as we were driving and i saw some graffiti that said "Blood - all C shouldn't be here." No idea really what this means, but I knew it was gang graffiti from the bloods. So for some reason, my mom thinks it's a good idea to show me how gang life is. She takes me to the "Blood House" which apparently gives tours. As we walked in, some mom had just signed his kid up to join the bloods, and the kid seemed really happy. I was shocked, I had no idea why she wanted to give that life to her kid. She explained why, but i can't quite remember her logic. But I do remember thinking "Well when you have no God I guess you have no hope." So mom and I were about to leave, but one of the gang members opens the door my mom is standing by and pulls her in. I rush after the guy and start punching him. I feel really weak, and can't get a solid hit to land. He drags mom outside and then policemen show up. Apparenly there are some criminals in the Blood House (hmm wouldn't have guessed that), and the guy threatens us that if we didn't help him out at trial by giving a false witness account, he'd have my whole family killed. So he starts telling me what I need to say, and I absorb it all in. Then I have to go home and find some sort of device from my dad. Like a tape recorder or something that has to do with the gang. So I go home and someone is with me now, it's not my mother but rather one of my friends, not sure who. But he helps me out looking for this thing. First we look in the laundry room inside my dads shoes. In one of his shoes i pulled out a shoe that had a shoe in it. We couldn't find the object we were looking for, then my dad walked in. I suddenly realized that it was stupid not to just ask for it, as it was mom's life that was in danger. I told him that mom was being held at a gang house. He first thought it was a joke, until he understood that i was being serious. Then he started to cry, and I woke up.

Ends up that yesterday, wasn't a complete loss. I found on my phone some notes that I had jotted down when i woke up yesterday. They just say "false lucid" and "dreamt that i got an email that i had to be at school at 3:00." I don't remember the false lucid, but I do remember the second dream very fuzzily. Not enough to make any sense though. Here goes for the 5 dreams i had last night:

Dream 1: I woke up and got on my iPad. I checked my control panel on dream views to see if anyone had replied to any threads I'm subscribed to. Someone had commented on my MILD class workbook, and I clicked on it to see the new post. Then the dream ended.

Dream 2: The second dream was very interesting, and I hate that I can only remember vague parts of it. Basically someone taught me that music was God's work. From that point the dream became amazing, music basically could be used to mold the world around you. If you whistled an elvish tune (like from LotR) then you could heal people or make things grow. Music could shatter windows, or even destroy whole cities. I'm not musical in real life, but maybe this is reflective of some kind of magic I could use in my dreams to control my surroundings? This dream wasn't first person, I couldn't even see myself. I could think, but it felt like I was watching a television documentary that was teaching me this.

Dream 3: In this dream I had just gotten back home from the race i had run the day before the dream, and I got my iPad out from underneath the seat, and the corner of it was broken. Like about an inch was just broken and hanging on by a thin piece of metal. I couldn't believe it, and i kept checking over and over again until it changed. Instead of the iPad being broken, only the case was broken. I was so relieved.

Dream 4: This dream was pretty long, and i just recognized it as a recurring dream sign! Yay! My first dream sign! I am driving the Porsche, and I am having a really hard time driving it for some reason. This part is really strange to describe, but for some reason i couldn't change gears by using the stick inside of the car, like it was in the trunk, and i had to get out of the car to put the car in gear. Then i guess i realized that this was really strange, and the dream autocorrected itself, and put the stick in the right place. Then I was driving along the freeway, and my dad and sister joined me. My dad was driving the camry, and my sister was driving the explorer. We had to go to this pawn shop that was far away and in the middle of nowhere to buy some specific part for something my mom wanted. So we were driving there, and the navigation system in the Porsche wasn't working for me, and neither were me and my dad's iPhone gps things. Then my sister got out of my car, but she wasn't my sister. She was a new girl from my school, and she showed me this remote that she had that worked as a gps even though it didn't have a screen. It gave instructions in text, and it said said to follow some road for 38 miles, then take a turn and follow that road for 12 miles. My dad was mad that we had to drive so far, but we started going anyway. Then I had more difficulty driving. The steering wheel wasn't responding properly, and I ended up bumping into a policeman while stopped at a stop light. I pulled up next to him and mouthed "sorry!" and he just looked at me and rolled his eyes. I wondered why he didn't get out, but I remember thinking to myself, "Oh he does not care since he doesn't have to pay for the police car." Then I was driving along a road that had a ton of stop signs, but my brakes weren't working (dream sign)! Well they were working, but it felt like I couldn't push the brake petal hard enough to make the car stop. I kept going past stop signs. Basically the rest of the dream was me struggling.

Dream 5: This was just a brief false awakening before I woke up. I just 'woke up' and logged on to dream views on my phone.

While writing these dreams, my mom was talking to me and asked me if I wanted an apple. Then i recalled another dream I had! Well a fragment of one:

Dream ?6?: someone threw an apple at me and i tried to catch it in my mouth, but when i tried it just stuck on to my braces.

Had a bad sleep last night, and only can remember one dream, and only part of it at that:

I was at the school retreat that's happening next week. I had finished eating lunch, and now we were all going to have a race. Me and a few other people got on dirtbikes, and lined up at the start. There was no one there to say go, but we all knew somehow when to start. It was a sandy path, and I was in first place until I go to a hill. I hit a rut at the base of the hill, and it knocked me over. I got back on the bike and gave it as much gas as I possibly could. I couldn't go up the hill, though. I was going too fast, and my tires were just spinning in the dirt. Someone shouted at me that I had to go slowly up the hill, but no matter what I tried, I couldn't get up the hill. Very frustrating. That's basically the whole dream at this point, but I remember very vividly the details of my surroundings. The path was about 10 yards wide, and there was about 3 yards of grass on either side for spectators to watch. Surrounding the grass and the path was a huge lake, and it seemed that over the hill I would have just driven into the water, so I was very curious about the other side of the hill. But I never made it over the hill.

Very productive night! No LDs, but I had many dreams focused on LDing. After studying LDs all day, I hit a personal record of 7 dreams recalled!

First Dream: I am trying to recall my dreams, but I can't seem to recall any. In an attempt to remind myself of the dreams, I make a huge checklist of things that normally happen in my dreams. I can't recall any of the items on the list besides date, time, lucidity level, and vividness. The list basically became a scantron, like one of those bubble sheets you fill out on tests like the SAT. The only thing I remember is that the date I bubbled in was Sept. 21. It took me a long time to remember the date, but I finally tried remembering what the date said on the board in homeroom.

Second Dream: Very fuzzy and a brief fragment of me running a 5k at Cross Country practice. I remember thinking I could not make it all the way, and I hadn't even reached the half-way point.

Third Dream: I wake up at 8:24 and it's a Saturday morning. Again I have the problem where I can't recall any dreams. I was very angry with myself, but I do remember saying to myself, "Well, Percylucid did say that our recall may suffer with WILDing."

Fourth Dream: My class is having a discussion on what would happen if our parents died. Most of the Junior class is there, and a lot of the Sophomores are there (I go to a really small school where the entire Junior class is 15 kids). We are all on this giant bed, which is about as big as a convenience store. The sheets are white and cold. J was talking (as usual) and said that if his parents died then he wouldn't be able to live in the house that he lives in anymore, since it would be too sad. H laughed at him and said, "You can't live in your own house, but you'll live in a house alone in France?" Then J shouted at her "IF MY PARENTS DIED!!" Then A called me gay (she annoys me like this in real life) and I told her "I'm obviously not cause if I was gay then I would be able to like you." Then for some reason this made her leave the giant bed and then she came back like 30 seconds later. She didn't seem angry she just laughed and seemed to read something further into it.

Fifth Dream: I'm riding in a car with a sunroof. I can tell it's my sister's VW Beetle, and either my mom or my sister is driving. I'm sitting in the passenger seat looking out the sunroof, and we come to a stop sign. The whole dream was basically while stopped at this stop sign for like 5 minutes. I was staring at this pine tree through he sunroof, and it was shaped really weirdly. It grew normally for about 20 feet, then it curved to the right and grew sideways for about a foot, then it grew straight up again. I was thinking that if a lightning bolt were to strike the elbow of the tree, then the top of the tree would just come crashing down and impale me. For some reason I really wished it would do that and kill me, although the idea of me dying did not seem like an escape or depressing.

Sixth Dream: I'm at home on the computer trying to remember my dreams to write on this dream journal (I had planned last night to start using this DV system). I am struggling really hard to remember my dreams (see a common theme of the night here?), and I suddenly get the though that if I take off my clothes then I'll somehow be able to remember. My clothes felt really heavy, and they felt like they were holding me back. As I begin to take off my clothes, this lady from my school (Mrs. Ta) shows up at my front door. I'm upstairs, so I look from the upstairs to see who it is, then my mom goes and opens the door. I head back to my dream journal problems. My mom is talking and says, "Oh let me get Grant so he can say hi," and Mrs T says, "No, that's fine. I won't be here too long." My mom replies, "Nonsense! I can summon him down here. He has no one to listen to but me. GRANT!!!" So I walk down the stairs and say hi, and I remember thinking that when I said hi I had this weird awkward smirk and laugh.

Seventh Dream: It began at school where everyone was giving presentations on books we read. I used PowerPoint. After we gave our presentations, we were going to watch a movie on the projector. It was something to do with Castro's regime. Shia LaBeouf played Castro. He died his hair salt and pepper and had an eye scar. I can't remember anything else about it. Then after watching it, a teacher went into the settings screen and there were a lot of options to change the film with, like language and culture options. She changed the culture to Russian. This time, two of the actors switched places, which made Shia the protagonist, and some other person into Castro. They also were speaking Russian. Afterward, I went to the bathroom. There was a line of little kids who were going, and there was a sign above the doors that said "GC (don't know what GC means): After this point only you are responsible for what you say." It made sense in my dream, and I understood it to mean that the kids would have to nice in the bathroom, since the teachers wouldn't be able to monitor them. Which was weird, cause the teachers were in the restrooms monitoring them. My grandma picked me up from school and said we had to escape the country. She got us two tickets on a train to escape. We were going to pretend like we were going on vacation, but we would run once we got out. H.T. texted me wondering if they could escape with us, and I said no it's too late, but they should follow the same idea for escaping and we'd help them out once they were out of the country. I texted this to her, but for some reason everything I texted was translated into elvish. It was beautiful! Well my grandmother and I got on the train and left the country. The place we arrived at seemed very surreal, and it was like Rivendell. I actually think I was inside a Monet (my grandmother actually has a credit card with this money painting on it). Well it was an underground community of those who had escaped, and there was housing and such already set up for us. The houses looked like something familiar, but I'm not sure what. I can still remember the shape but I don't know what it is... It's kind of like a beautiful white tunafish. All of the landscaping was blue, green, and red.
