The main character is a psycotherapist "who can enter into people’s dreams and synchronize with their unconscious to help uncover the source of their anxiety or neurosis." If you think about it, to be able to experience someone else's dreams with them would be a fantastic way to conduct therapy. You could interact directly with their subconscious mind without the conscious mind interfering. Unless you're just another DC in the other person's dream. That would suck.

Just watched this yesterday, and it was amazing. The music was fantastic, the animation was fantastic, the characters were fantastic, etc, etc. If you consider yourself an anime fan, you have to watch this movie. Although the movie never makes a direct reference to lucid dreaming, the main character is basically doing it for the entire movie... except, in someone else's dream.

Sorry for the bump, but I watched this movie yesterday, and it's stunning. Quite confusing though, like what is "dream" and what is "reality. A big advice for all!.
