      REM-Dreamer device?

Apparently this is a new (European) version of the novadreamer, and you can order it online at this site. http://www.remdreamer.com/

I sent an email yesterday because I wanted to know how to pay by bank transfer. I still don't have a reply. Is this company still active? Or are they no longer in business?
      Current projects:
      -Acquire the Aurora
      -Test galatamine, huperzine and choline
-Find smartwatch app for RC reminders at certain intervals
-Ressurect my dream log here, and become more active

It's not new, they've been around for a couple of years. I have one in the cupboard somewhere... He is slow to reply and delivery is very slow. NovaDreamer is better if you can get hold of one on ebay, as they are no longer made.

I've just checked ebay...300+ dollars for a novadreamer??? On that "new" site it says that the REM dreamer is not only better, but also costs only 140 euros. Not sure what to do now. I think I'll just wait a bit longer.

http://lukejerram.com/installations/...m_Director.htm The experiments used that device your talking about. I just hope they put on that site the amount of people that achieved lucidity...

After looking deeper into the REM dreamer I found many links: these are reviews
      http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=22821
      http://www.world-of-lucid-dreaming.com/rem-dreamer.html

If your really that needy of a device to induce lucidity than I think the best offer is Rem-Dreamer, but it would be best to stick with your brain. I'm reading many people saying "yeah I have it, it's laying in my attic doing nothing good for me"...

It's a one guy operation. He makes them to order.

There is a reason his is 142 euro and a secondhand novadreamer is 300 dollars. Mine is in the bottom of a cupboard somewhere, my novadreamer is beside my bed, it gets used regularly.

So you're saying the novadreamer is a LOT better than the REM-dreamer?

Yes, the sensitivity is crap, the controls are all on a tiny thin switch which is impossible to operate without taking the mask off and the circuit board out, and even then it's so complicated you need a masters degree to operate it.

The main problem with the novadreamer is the infra red detector degrades after a few years causing the sensitivity to gradually reduce. I have replaced the sensor in mine and it's perfect now.
The Lucidity Institute has supposedly been about to release a new improved model of the novadreamer for the last year and a half but no sign of it yet.

I heard it's going to be REALLY expensive - like, 800-1000 dollars!
      That's just too much.

      Tim,

I've read good reviews about the REM dreamer from www.ld4all.com

Someone kept a journal of its usage. The person said it was worth it and much better than the dreammaker and was superior in a few ways compared to the novadreamer.

It's been almost a week and the REM dreamer guys haven't responded to me. Which email address did you use? the one that is @remdreamer.com doesn't even work.

      I used "[email protected]"
It works, but it taken an eternity for the guy to respond.
I guess we'll just have to be patient.

I have already paid 142 euros to his bank account. I told him this in an email, but he hasn't replied so far. That was exactly 1 week ago. (monday)

Yeah, I've heard that they're slow-- it can take several weeks when they ship it to. I think they're made to order?

When people get it though, they've had very positive results.

I'm glad someone is purchasing one at the same time I'm thinking about it so we can compare results.

Since I'm talking heavily on this topic, allow me to introduce myself a little bit:

I'm just your average college student addicted to webforums with a special interest in astral projection, lucid dreaming, and New Age stuff.

I have browsed dreamviews in the past, but I was only a member of Ld4all.com. Even then, I lurk more than I post. There was a good thread about REM dreamer, but only one on ld4all.com-- and it's outdated.

I've been looking for CURRENT information about the REM dreamer since they did upgrades to their device. Tim, by coincidence, your topic about a REM dreamer appeared this month.

Yeah, I've heard that's what sucks about the company-- they are slow to respond. I read it takes an average of THREE WEEKS before you'll receive it-- but it's worth the wait.

      1 problem:
After the delay time is over, it flashes twice to tell me that in 30 seconds it will start detecting eyeball movement. After it has detected REM sleep it waits for 2 more minutes to allow the dream to form.
Then it start giving cues. (in my case 6 flashes of light)
But after that I have to wait like 10 more minutes before it gives me more cues. How can I change this?
