Awww yeeeaaahh! I had my first lucid dream since joining this website last night!
I have been trying to get one for a couple weeks now (doing constant RCs, ADA and some meditation), and I guess my work is starting to pay off!
Last night, I went to bed at 10:30 as usual, but that night I was REALLY tired. Before I went to sleep, I repeated the mantra "I am dreaming".
My memory of this dream isn't great because I slept in, but here it goes:
When my dream started, I was downstairs in my house. Since I am downstairs alot in rel life, I know exactly how it looks. So as soon as the dream started, I knew something was off because the lighting was really strange. I looked at my fingers and saw that I had 7 on my right hand. If anything, this dream was pretty clear before, but once I realized I was dreaming, it was a thousand times clearer than any other dream I have ever had, even my other LDs (which weren't so amazing). It felt as clear as waking life. I started to get excited, but then I remembered that is the biggest reason people wake up from their LDs. I decided to explore the dream I bit just for fun. I walk down the hall and I see my friend sitting on the couch with this lady my mom knows. I walk into the room, and just because I heard about this on reddit, I ask the woman what is 1 plus 1. She shouts out in a dutch accent "The answer is pear!". I decided I was wasting my time, smashed through the back window, and started flying. My flying was pretty much regular Superman-type flying. I loved the feeling of flying. I could feel the wind blowing past me and seeing buildings under me. And then I woke up.
When I woke up I was excited I had finally had my first lucid dream for a while, so it took me a while to realize I had woken up on the living room carpet. . . and that I had never woken up at all! I probably never would have realized if had had not started floating for no reason when I stood up. I counted my fingers, and I had 6. This dream (or continuation of my other dream) did not seem as clear. I barely remember what happened next, but I was at the side of my house being chased by a samurai. I was really scared until I remembered I was dreaming. The samurai came towards me and I kicked him. He broke into pieces that went flying away. Then my dream ended for real this time.
Very good DILD/MILD experience, only wish I would have done more in it thought.
