      What are your skills?

You know, like bow hunting skills... computer hacking skills...

Hehe, seriously, what dream control are you capable of doing on a pretty consistant basis? Rate them on a scale of "out of 5 LD's I can do this X many times", approximately.

      ------------

Flying: Never has been a real problem, and what I probably do the most. This is what I do when I can't think of anything offhand. 5/5

Floating: I consider this a different category from flying, and also a very different experience. (Think Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon). 3/5

Creating original artwork: I love it. Sometimes I get pre-existing artwork with minor variations. 3/5

      Changing the sky/weather: Isn't too tough. 2/5

Creating original music: I've only done it twice, and one of them I didn't remember the tune when I woke up. The other, I had no means to record it

Walking through solid matter: I'm pretty bad at this. It feels pretty embarrasing when a DC laughs at you. 1/5

Summoning objects: Pretty difficult for me. I always second guess myself. 0/5

      --------------

Always remember, girls only want guys with skills.

Well, since I've only had one, somewhat short (maybe like 5 dream minutes) lucid dream where I actually tried to manipulate my environment.....

Manipulating my Environment: I made a red pit open up underneath someone I knew who was talking and bugging me relatively easily.

Summoning objects: I tried twice to create a girl. Both times she just had somewhat of an outline of a body, and no distinguishable face.

I'm sure I'll be some kinda psycho-insane super dream master soon <_<.
I'm no hippie, but lucid dreams intrigue me.

Freezing time-like it implies, i can stop time for a while 4/5

      Phasing through stuff-4/5

yeah..thats pretty much all i do. Stopping time is kind of all i need since it stops everything so no need for anything else. Sometimes i have the occasional powers of the elements though

I can do all that stuff pretty well except for creating things out of thin air.

When I summon things, I find it extremely helpful to hide it behind something first (like a door) and then tell it to walk around or through.
For some reason it's just hard to make things appear out of the air, unless you imagine it as a star trek beaming technology.

Just say, "beautiful girl be behind that door"... and that usually works for anything.

Oh and as for going through solid matter, it's really fun.

If I go through a solid wall I feel like a ghost. If I go through a screen or something that has wholes in it, It feels like I'm liquid metal going through and reshaping on the other side. GOing through a mirror/television is the funnest thing, it's like diving into a swimming pool sideways.

      Try it.

      The original music thing...

I once had a dream where I had my own theme music, every step i took a sound played, and i could create music by walking...

This happened after watching the episode of Family Guy where Peter Got 3 Wish's...

I'm really good at destroying things, umm where do I start.
Flying 5/5 (i dont do this very often anymore just because I like other things more)
Levetating people and throwing them great distances 5/5
Causing earthquakes and general chaos all around me 5/5
      Making people appear 5/5
Lifting and hurling huge buildings into the atmosphere, ie the corporation I work for.
      controlling people 4/5
Pretty much changing my body into anything, like an animal, or making my fingers razor sharp blades, etc 5/5
Insert alot of adult material 4/5 (only a 4 because I get excited and sometimes wake up)
Hell theres nothing I cant do, just getting lucid is all it takes. For me its simply visualizing it and being confident...expecting what you visualize to happen is all it takes.

EDIT: Oh and freezing time is definatly a personal favorite 5/5

This thread seem like fun, lets see.

Flying 3/5 I usually just use Massive Leaps

      Leaping 6/5 I'm a friggin wikid leaper.

Martial Arts 5/5 I'm decent at it in lucidity, watching all those old jackie chan and bruce lee films pays off!

Acrobatics 3/5 -I dont like inverting myself, makes my head hurt and usually takes me to a whole new dream world.

Talking 0/5 -I can never talk in dreams, I always assume they know what I think.

Supernatural Powers 4/5 -I've got the whole having superpowers things down, I Really dont want to get into making my own world though, I'm a freak that way I want to save it as I would A Sim Game and continue, but having the knowledge that I can't continue later on, prevents me from doing it.

      and those are the basics.

LucidStunna, you are my hero. I've always wanted to destroy buildings, throw people, etc. in dreams, but always forget to. Maybe WILDing will preserve my dream intentions more.

      Flying : 5/5
I always fly, no matter what, often faster than I can see,
      so everything around me blurs.

      Landing after flight: 2/5
Good at flying away, not too good at touching down.

      Running at superspeed: 3/5
...though sometimes I trip, and fly away.

Destroying my environment or dream characters: 0/5
It's not that I don't want to though.

      Communicating with dream characters: 4/5
We seem to get along pretty good.

      Altering my body: 1/5
Thats also one of those things I forget to do, but
      would love to try.

      Flying 1/5
I can get in the air, but after that I have to my my arms through the air to keep moving (kind of like swimming in water.)

      Teleporting, telekinesis and telepathy 0/5
I try, but I can rarely ever get anything to happen.

      Running, walking 1/5
Every time I try to run the air gets thick and I have to start crawling (kind of like trying to run under water.)

      Communicating w/ dream chars 3/5
I think talking to people is about the only thing I can do, w/o screwing up.

I guess i'm the opposite of a lot of people; I can ld often, but I can't really do anything that I'd like to do.

Let's see... judging from the few LD's i had, for me it goes like this:

Time control - 4/5 it works pretty well, too bad i usually wakeup after 5 minutes..

Reading - 1/5 ican't really read in myreams, but usually when i see some label, i know what it's supposed to mean. Doesn't work with long texts though...

Shapeshifting - 3/5 I can do it somewhat, but can't remain in a certain form for too long...

      Running - 1/5 I can never run, unless im runnin'on 4 legs...

Flying - 5/5 I can always fly, thats the easyest skill to master. Too bad it doesn't cross my mind so often...

Flying (4): Very often the first thing I do in a LD is to try to fly, and only THEN figure out what to do next. My flying is rarely perfect - sometimes it's unstable, slow etc, but being incapable of flying is pretty rare for me.

High Jumping (5): Never been a problem. I can always jump something like a minimum of 4 meters high, often more like 10 meters.

Teleportation (3): I often teleport to places I can see visually with my own eyes. Call it short-distance teleportation.

Super Strength (5): I can almost always punch holes (or at least dents) in concrete, bend steel with my fingers like it was clay, lift cars... This includes durability (I often had dreams when I was shot at, and I was bullet-proof.

Walking Through Walls (3): I do this often enough. I approach a wall very slowly, stop with my nose merely an inch from it, then I take a slow step and I'm on the other side. Works every time, I don't think I ever had embarrasing incidents with this. It's a lot easier to pass through closed doors, walls made of glass, or bars, than a true solid wall. Once I've even stopped right in the middle of passing through a door, and could see what's on the other side without being seen myself.

Wall Climbing (1): Think Spiderman. Sometimes it's hard, sometimes it's not, but I don't use it often (when you can fly, climbing on walls doesn't seem very useful).

There are also "powers" that I've used merely once or twice in my life:

Telekinesis: Used it once, in a recent LD. It was unstable as shit (I tried to force a wire to hover at a certain fixed height) but it worked.

Running On Water: Usually across a lake. Did it two, maybe three times.

Cloning: I've managed to create several clones of myself only once.

Weather Change: Managed it exactly ONCE, and it was many, many years ago.

Slowing Down Time: Did it twice. One of them, I could see bullets from a rifle pass by, matrix-style.

i have only had 1 "partially lucid dream", i was behind the computer, watching a movie with my mom (yay), and with the 2nd time, my mother walked away, and i was just standing in this great battle on some kind of bridges and fields of black marble with 4 catapults and 5 ents and a very lot of warriors and stuff...
so i just kept on fighting and hacking and stuff and there were 2 flashes: ow fuck, this is just a dream (and i thought of this 2 times in the dream), but, my dream went on and i kept fighting, however, a major difference with the rest of my dream is that i actually felt my physical body lying on bed, i concentrated on flying or something and within 3 or 5 seconds i flew right up at the sky, like neo and then i just woke up

it really took long, but i have flown... so: 1/5

now i have a question, is it just me or do other people dream their dreams in a 3rd person perspective, and is it normal to dream in the 3rd person perspective???

Great thread. I've only had two dreams where i can control things but summoning objects seems to be a strength

summoning objects: 3/5 so far a gun, nicer room, and a girl (seperate dreams) I shouted the name of what i wanted and it appeared.

lucidness comes randomly, something i'm sure i can have more power over if i focus. So i haven't developed lucidness yet, but i do have a floating skill. well rarely is it just floating, but like you said, crouching tiger type stuff-- exagerated capabilities but basically within harnessing physical laws (as i percieve it). It's quite fun.

I must comment that my skills, which I've detailed on the previous page, seem to be a bit rusty. In a lucid dream two days ago I could barely do anything but lift cars, and in tonights lucid I had no control at all! (and don't think I usually have them this frequently either... just a coincidence).
