      My thumb locks up

      It's so weird...

as I'm having a semi-lucid dream (I'm aware i'm dreaming, controlling myself, playing within the dream), sometimes it's accompanied by feeling like my thumb, my real thumb is bent inwards and locked. (often times my thumb in the dream too is like that. kind of hazy, don't always remember).

      This happened again last night.

It's SO annoying 'cuz I'm so close to a full control and comfortable LD. Now, when I eventually try to pop back my thumb back in place, sure enough I lose the feeling of the dream and the dream ends.

Anyone ever have something like this? What's going on? I'm sure in fact in real life my thumb is not locked or bent inwards, but it sure makes it feel that way during the dream and it interferes with dream comfort.

You shouldn't ever focus on your real body, try to ignore the sensation as much as possible. If it's indeed something then probably just the SP spooking.

thanks for attempting a response -- kind of a niche topic eh.

      SP? What's that?
I had some LD's last night, with regular full control and body movement this time. I tried some powers and they didn't work though, but it's cool, I knew I was lucid

Most of my dream settings (at least the ones I recall and go lucid in) are in boring settings, however. Just.. people and cars. I usually just walk around and mess with girls to be honest.
Any thoughts or advice on that? Is it normal? I want space aliens and a zombie invasion. Not just schools, malls, and people.

Perhaps I'll try to pay more attention to my environment in the next one. I could probably find an interesting nook or cranny somewhere.

That is so freakin weird that you posted this, because about a week ago, I had an LD just after a successful WILD where my hands were kind of cramping up, and both my thumbs were pointed inward. Long story short, I have a ncie demon version of Old Hag when I WILD these days, but this time he was grabbing my hands real hard, and after he disappeared, it was like I had charlie horses (cramps, basically) in my thumbs. I could see them curling up all weird, like an old woman's arthritic poise. It happened several times that night/morning, but that was the only time.

Not sure what to make of it, but it could have been a lack of vitamins in real life, causing cramping to manifest itself as gnarled-up hands in my LD. Makes sense actually because I just started a new diet and I bet I'm jonesing for some potassium or something.

      Interesting topic.
