      Don't close your eyes!!!!!

Have you ever lost lucidity and ended up waking up because you closed your eyes in a dream for too long?

Yeah, especially when I try to teleport in a dream. I'll close my eyes and expect to be somewhere else, but wake up instead. It didn't use to happen, but now it does...

For me, closed eyes are a barrier, they shut out the world they were viewing.

If I close my eyes in a dream they will connect back to my waking self, so it nearly allways ends the dream

      NOT AGREE!

Keeping lucidities depends only on your force for dreaming and focusing the intent.

I shared this on Jun 28.

If your dream-body isn't trained enough, it doesn't make the method wrong

ugh...closed eyes usually means me falling in a blackless void and then losing lucidity. That and i always lose lucidity when i teleport or transition between dreams on purpose

Curiosity killed the cat but at least it didnt die an ignorant bastard

Effect of closing your eyes depends on a person. When I just started, I could close my eyes and dream spin without any problems, but right now even blinking causes me to wake up...(not like I need to blink in a dream)

In one dream I had a DC with a broken/out-of-place finger that he wanted mended by me. So I thought, "I can do that. I have a high level of lucidity." So I closed my eyes and expected the finger to be in its proper place and mended, but I opened my eyes and realize that my dream was rapidly fading and edges were blurring. I had to quickly do some dream spinning to recover, however in doing so I lost lucidity.

Bottom line, don't close your eyes in a LD.

Yeah, normally I'd be okay if I closed my eyes, but recently my lucidity level has really sucked. Mostly 'cuz I haven't worked on it as of late, but a little is sheer exhaustion. Either way, teleporting is usually a pretty upper-level lucid ability, so maybe I shouldn't be trying it till I get my skills back up to par again.

Once, I experienced that I was in a a lucid and closed my eyes to focus on something, when I opened them everything was blurry.. so I spinned or rubbed my hands or something.. but I´ve never woken up because of that..

I noticed that every time I lost lucidity, I would be closing my eyes.

but I was never sure whether or not closing my eyes always makes me lose lucidity.

      Now I guess it does.

If any of you have a list of things you try to accomplish in a lucid dream, add "Have a staring contest with a DC", and see how long it lasts when you do it.

Yup that has happened to me several times like when Im trying to change the setting of the dream or one of the characters. Usually it would work 75% of the time but sometimes I end up in either some place that I didn't create with my mind or a false awakening.
