      Control without lucidity?

Is this possible? because, on looking at my DJ, i've realised that in a lot of dreams, i've had control in my dreams, but i've definitely not been lucid.
Not only have i had control, but it's like i've 'known' on some level how much control to let myself have, in order to 'enhance' the dream, but not change the overall interpretation when i awake the next day.
I use my dreams for a lot of spiritual and emotional self analysis, so as you can see, too much control changes the dream totally, and it has the potential to become meaningless, at least to me.
If i'm totally getting what i want, i'm learning nothing.
It's like life, you learn very little when all is well, it's when something goes wrong and affects you personally that lessons are learned.
Does anyone else have this phenomenon, or am i just nuts?

Yes, it's certainly possible. I'm sure that I had some level of control over a few of my dreams when I was younger, without actually becoming lucid and knowing that it was a dream. I dunno -- maybe on some level I knew that I was dreaming, but I don't really think I was conscious of that fact.

Yea i get tht alot in my normal dreams where i can control some of my actions but i am not aware i am dreaming. I agree with Tygrhawk i think on some level we know we are dreaming but not entirely sure about it.

Yea i had that happen before in my dreams where i can control some things but not enough to be lucid it was kind of strange like i remember i was walking to my friends house and went to his door but there was no door and i thought there should really a door here somewhere and i said well if it just appeared that would be nice and it was there all the sudden and i said ah there it is and went in so yea.

      Yes, it can definitely happen.
last night I've had an incredible display of power, where I've used my common lucid trick while being totally nonlucid. It just popped in my head and seemed incredibly convenient.

I'm glad we've cleared that up!!
In a way, i think that's actually better than lucidity...
