Hello people

I noticed that every single night, i have the same repetive ' dream schedule '. Every night i have one or two ' main dreams ' of approximately 30 min. These occur after 4-5 hours of sleep. Then after another 2 hours of sleep, i enter only REM period. I enter dozens of dreams, and wake up after, let's say, 3-5 minutes per dream. When woken up and falling asleep again, i immediately enter a dream again and again wake up after a short period of time. I have 2 qeustions about this: why am i waking up so quickly, but still entering dream after dream? 2nd: if i get lucid in a short period dream, can i prevent myself from waking up and put all these short period REM-phases together using dream prolonging techniques to make it one long lucid? Hope you guys can help me out!
