      Summoning Objects

Just a brief question about this. It was the only thing that I managed to have time to do in my extremely brief (but first) Lucid Dream. However, I failed.

I was trying to summon an easter egg (the first object that came into my mind). I put my hand around the back of a wooden box where I couldn't see it, and tried to pretend that there was the egg there, and that I was just about to touch it. No sucess though.

I attempted to make the thing appear out of thin air. Needless to say, this failed too.

So, how do you summon objects?

The following method works great for me:
Look somewhere, say what you want, do whatever you want with the item that appeared.
It has been extremely simple using that method in...All of my lucid dreams.
      And that's...A few...Thousand...Lucid dreams.

Ur problem was that u were pretending there was an egg there. Focus on the word "pretend" here for a second, in a LD u have 2 remember u have complete control & inside this dream it is real for u not fake, if u r going 2 pretend it instead of believe it then it won't happen. Instead of pretending there is an egg there tell urself there is one there & believe it

Well yes, I suppose the word 'pretend' was misplaced, but I did actually believe that the thing was there.

I think the problem may just have been that the dream wasn't vivid enough...

Check your pockets, if you don't find it reach deeper.... You will find it. Also if you have played many computer games try using the [ ] and number keys to search your inventory(A little hard to explane but works for me).

Haha, I got partly Lucid for the second time last night, and I used your pockets method.

It worked a treat, thank you so much!

I just dug my hand into my pocket, and my pocket was sort of deeper than usual... So I put it even further in, and kept pulling whatever I needed out.

Unfortunately, I can't remember what I needed... The whole thing's very vague.

All the same, many thanks for your help.

Another way is if you ask a DC for something. When you become lucid and want something, but find it hard to summon object. Find a DC and ask for the object, they will almost always give it to you.

what I learned was that just expect that something will happen that will bring the object(example:expect the wind to blow it through the air to your hand) it works well for me I have only had 4 ld's but I am an expert at them with this thechnique.

I have an idea that might work, but I haven't tried this yet. I have a feeling this will work for summoning things. I bet that if you reach your hand into anything (a wall, water, etc) then feel that your holding onto whatever you want to come out. Pull your hand out and hopefully you'll have whatever it was you wanted.

You practice intending it. It should get easier after about 50-100 LDs.

I have been able to summon objects. I actually only have to think about wanting it and it appears. Same thing when I want to create a DC. If you believe that you have the power to summon the object then you should be able to do it by willing the object to be there.

The ' summoming out of sight' way seems like a good way. Weird it didn't work. It worked for me to get to my school (it appeard around a corner).

Ah well it's possible, try again ^__^

Where ever I want the object to appear, I hold out my hand and effectively block my vision. I bring my hand as close to my face as it needs to be, then move my hand and it will be there behind it. Of course, one needs "to know" it will be there.

Before you look back I found it helped if you felt it there first.

Actually, a vivid dream is harder to control
Eg. if you try to fly in a vivid dream, it's too real, so your dream says 'Hey, you can't actually fly!'

Putting the intended easter egg out of sight was a good idea, it makes it easier to believe it could have been there all along, but you missed it.
Keep using that sort of technique of looking into boxes, or opening cupboards to get what you want. It's quite a bit easier that way.
Other than that, I suggest practice and learning to actually expect the object to appear. As if you'd be surprised if it wasn't there.

      Keep trying
