Second if i put it on medataion and say to my self i am going to have a lucid dream every night every so offen with all my RC's throughout the day will i have a lucid dream? I had one about a week ago 8) . I just want something that will give me better results. Please Pm me or write on this topic.

The brainwave generator (aka BWG) can work while you are awake because the thing behind it is the binaural beats that are created by it. Since the BWG can do all kinds of different settings, I'm going to assume you are talking about the LD presets that are available.

For the LD Presets to work best you should likely listen to them laying down with your eyes closed, and let it run while you are going to sleep, or wake up and start it as you start to do WBTB's.

The reason it would be best to listen to while laying down is because the whole point behind the binaural beats is to put you into an altered state of mind. It works by making different brain waves by combining two different tones to make a low tone that the brain can understand. For example if you take a 400Mhz sound in one ear and a 410Mhz sound in the other the 400 mhz cancels each other out leaving a 10hz sound that the brain can understand. This is how it puts you into the different states. It can create Beta, Alpha, Theta and Delta brainwaves.

So after I got off on a tangent there, the reason you want to lay down and listen while you are sleeping is because the BWG is likely going to be producing theta brain waves, which is the waves your brain makes when you are in a super creative mode, and the same waves your brain makes when you are in an REM sleep. Since the BWG is making Theta waves you would want to do it while sleeping to take advantage of those waves. Once you stop listening the theta waves would gradually decrease back to a normal beta wave waking state.

To answer your second question, if you listened to the BWG on a meditation preset, it would likely be putting you down into the theta or delta (delta is deep sleep/deep meditation) and doing affirmations to yourself would be beneficial. However you would likely have to do that for quite some time for it to be effective. Mostly because, just like the RC's you have to do it a lot before it becomes a habit, and before your subconcious doesn't just dismiss it.

Feel free to post any other questions, or PM me and I'll try to answer them. I've studied up a lot about the binaural beats, BWG, etc.

You should look at the Hemi-Sync Lucid Dreaming Series also. You can find it on torrent sites, or you can buy it from the monroe institute. I believe it only comes on tape, because each part of the series is an 90 minutes and that is too long to fit on one CD. I don't condone downloading off the torrent sites, but at least you could get it in MP3 that way so you don't have to use cassettes. http://www.hemisync.com/shop/customer/prod...?productid=1583
