      going through walls

Last night, I had my first 2 LD night. They were also jsut my 3rd and 4th LD's overall. In my first dream, I was in a school with some glass walls when I became lucid. I went up to them and was able to put my arms through them. However they got stuck and when I tried to pull them out, 1 came out with enough force and the other stayed there when the dream ended.

In the second LD, I was still in my bedroom with the lights off. I went up to my wall and decided to try again with my arms. This time, I don't think I got anything through it. I might have gotten some fingers through but that was all I was able to do. Then I decided to go along and continue doing other things in my dream which I did.

Any advice for going through walls/mirrors/anything else that is solid?
Wait!! .......Am I dreaming right now?
      LDs: 8

It's time for a new beginning...

Well, believe that you can, and you will....
Or you could just try it after struggling from the trans state into a WILD

I know I have done that many times, and each time, it is like the obstical doesn't even exist. It is merely a holigram. You could even fly, and act like the ground is a Holigram. Just make sure to RC, and remember, clocks and open books aren't always the best way to RC, since they can be accurate (your bed should be the better RC, or even a mirror that does not show your reflection). I find if I do that, I perform a RC, and many times it has been a regular Lucid, but in some of them, they are slightly more vivid, but still a dream nonetheless.

You might want to try using doors for a while. Get the hang of LDs, work on the things that you can do easily, and increase the duration of your LDs. Then go for the things that are more difficult.

Dive head first...works because you know you cant feel the pain when your head contacts the wall. Plus, you can really see where you are going so you just kinda go right through it.

For me going through walls/windows is fairly easy if I know what's on the other side, however if I dont have a good idea of what's behind it, I may fail..

The way I go through doors/windows/whatever is: I press my fingers against it for a few moments and formulate my intent. I want to go through the thing... few moments later it lets me through - I can slide through.

Sliding through objects is a nice safeguard against doing something stupid in RL while drunk or on drugs...

My first LD that I had last month, I went flying through a window head first. I had another one a few nights ago and I wanted to go through a wall and just kind of tried to push and I couldn't do it. I think it's easier to just ram through it. What's gonna happen? You're not going to hit the wall and crash to the floor, chances are something will happen. But I think if you're having trouble going through things then being logical and trying to be patient and telling yourself to really concentrate and blah, blah might not be as effective as just taking a running leap and smashing through it.
