First Time; barely any dream control

So its probably because it was my first time but i still want tips if there are any about it, but when i became lucid i only had a little bit of dream control. i started to fly but i just came crashing down, which got frustrating.
also, there was someone that i really wanted to go to, i knew where she was but i couldnt see her. anyway, i was on my way to see her but then i got stuck under something in like a ditch. i was fully lucid by the way, but i was more focused on seeing her than on the fact that i was dreaming. and i was just totally confused because i couldnt get out of the ditch because i knew i was dreaming. i had all the confidence and will i needed but still nothing
      k thanks

I've had a lot of problem with motor control in my lucid dreams. Recently I came across a helpful tip, though! Instead of focusing on moving my muscles the advicer told me to focus to move in my mind, that is think that I want to, say, lift my arm. It was really helpful and it inspirered me to improve other aspects of dream control this way.

Hope this related to your problem.

Tolin, I think you are just becoming acclimated to the dream world. Though it seems hard to adjust at first, the more you LD, the more you become acclimated to it and how to function in it. All I can tell you is "Practice makes perfect.". Keep trying, set your intent well (as in tell yourself you will control LD no matter what) and you will get it right eventually. Have patience, and have fun!

as others have said, motor control is far different in the dream world. Instead of moving normally, just imagine yourself moving and you will. Also, before trying crazy skills like flying, just relax and observe your environment for a while. your dream will become more vivid, and you will have more control.

That reminds me of a dream i had... I was walking down my street, it was so vivid and real, it was nighttime, it was foggy, and the streetlamps were diffused and it looked so cool.

Anyway, i dropped my cell phone, which i was holding, and when i went to pick it up it was a playstation portable. By then i knew i was dreaming, but i could feel it fading fast, so i though screw it, ill fly. So i jumped up into the air, and i was speeding away when i woke up.

hmm well i am still trying to get complete control, like last night for example i wanted to change scenes and then all of a sudden i had a false awakening, and i guess i sorta knew i was dreamin, but i thought i wasnt because i thought i was awake, then i lost lucidity, so gay.
