      Answer to the running problem

I find it interesting how other cultures think of dreaming. I live in Taiwan, and talking to my Taiwanese friends about lucid dreaming, I've found some interesting insights. It's good because they don't even have a word for lucid dreaming, really. Many of the people I've talked to have done it, but never considered it noteworthy. I was discussing lucid dreaming with my opera teacher tonight, and she mentioned that she learned to go lucid when someone told her the reason you can't run in your dreams is because your legs are crossed somehow in real life, in your bed. She found that if she straightened her legs, she could run super fast, or fly away, etc.

Curious, eh? I'd test this one out, but if I can't run in a dream, it's a dreamsign to me, and I go lucid and just teleport to other worlds.

Usually, I can't run well on my lucid dreams, my feet seems heavier than usual. You can run on your LDs by "feeling" your feet lighter.

Hmm, I don't see it as a Dream Sign for me, because in Non-LDs I run at normal speed. But, who knows?

It's a strong possibility, but I would revise the idea, since I recall having this problem when my covers were heavy.

If you struggle to run in your dreams, it may help to free your legs from any constraints. Lighten the bed covers, don't tuck them in too tight and don't sleep with your legs crossed. Let your legs rest easily and freely on the bed.

yea i have dreams where I can barely run that I'm like practically crawling on my hands and knees to push myself. But then one time I had a dream where I was running except it was crazy fast but I wasn't lucid so I found it embarrassing. I was running through some ballroom and I would yank my arms out to grab on to some railing so I could slow down and my feet would be everywhere like I was slipping clear across the room trying to get control because if I didnt I would be falling everywhere when I tried to stop.
