I have a unique talent. Ive always been able to control my dreams. Unfortunatly, only to a reality based extent, perhaps a little hightened from that but nothing further. I've tried allot of things that everyone else sais should work for controling dreams and whatnot, such as spining verbal commands and visualisation, yet nothing really works. I've been having Lucid dreams for 15 years yet I've never been able to manipulate past the point of reality with much success. I guess I am lucky given that every dream that I remember is lucid....but why can't I escape the perameters of a reality based world?

Tut tut tut, some people are so ungrateful, as someone once said, You've gotta know your range, and own it.

Maybe it's some kind of mental block? are you too materialistic? skeptical?
Or you simply belive you are in reality?

try focusing on the fact that you are dreaming, thus everything is possible?


In one of my low lucidity dreams I exercised powers, but I though I was in reality. I acted myself, but I had very little idea that I was in a dream.
I remember mumbling something like "it's *like* a dream", but I never was sure...

Thinking I was in reality greatly undermined my abilities - I havent tried anything that will break physical laws. I just altered my appearance to pass among people unnoticed... And I thought I had to *wait* for this ability to *recharge*....

you're just mentally defeated. -- how lucid are you? are you to the point where you have a control of what people say/do? or are you just living in the world, not controlling it in any way?

...something that helped me fly was pulling this little disk out of my pocket... then i stand on it and it hovers. i used to fly around on it, but i slowly phased it out. maybe you could do something like this... baby steps my friend, baby steps.

What do you regularly do in a LD?

Try standing still, looking at your hands and gaining concetration. Think about your lucid state and focus on the fact that it is your world, and that there are no boundaries, nothing is real. Try to see what you can alter, or what you can control.

If you are sure you can do something, you should be able to. Jump out of a roof. If you are sure you will fly, you will....

I get lucid every night aswell, by natural gifts, but, as you can read over and over I dont control at all(exept my own personal actions and abilities), dont waste your talents, which such you could ultimately be granted acces to the real astral plane instead of your mind prison, such grand things are out there, that far exeed the extend of...simple control.

I never had any of the control on it the dream itself, but then, I never wanted or had to, there is no need for..control, you will think your power is supreme, but its all your little mind prison and illusion, the actual astral plane is real though..so much is out there, alot of people are not ready yet, but people with natural LD abilities should be at least getting close..do as you please..do as you will, but one shall in the end find out...that control..is nothing.

To everyone aside from Lucius , to awnser there questions. I am very Lucid as in i know that beyond a doubt that I am dreaming(else i wouldnt be lucid) and i can control every aspect of myself. within the perameters of a reality based system, you see i can fall a very far distance and not get hurt, i can also jump and extend my normal distance, but sometimes i have trouble with even that. I have done allot of stuff with time manipulation but that phases in and out. My problem is mainly things like flying, morphing, place shifting, and materializing objects. Its wierd anything that you would normaly suggest dosn't work for me, so think creativly, any weird advice you may have?

Push yourself to extremes.

Remember dreams aren't real. Jump from a skyscraper, walk through fire. Remember you won't get hurt so there is no reason to not attempt the impossible.

Once you start to do stuff like this often, I believe your subconcious will start to recognize that natural laws do not apply in the dreamworld, and your mind will start to allow you to move on to flying etc.

do everything with confidence too.
when you want something, never doubt that its going to happen. you have to be 100% sure that the moment you think it, it will happen...and if it doesn't happen, punish a dream character. then try again.

maybe you could invent things. like a gun that morphs objects to your will... or a glove, that when worn, can move objects from across the room. maybe a jacket that can give you a technological advantage. go to a store and buy these things. then use them... that's all i can think of that might help. it just requires you to accept that these things can be invented.

You could also try to ask your dream characters what you need to do in order to have that sort of control. Surprisingly enough they might have the answer...

the odd thing is that i absolutly know that I can do whatever i want and belive that I can do it, Its just when i try to it dosn't work that well, or not at all. Truthberer, thats a good idea! I'll try talking to some people. Another thing may be that i am not in my head when i have my Very vivid lucid dreams and am actually in the astral plane, which could explain allot, ohh and to Squall i jump off stuff and do crazy things like that all the time in my dreams.

Okay let me break it down for you's not understanding this concept. We all know that there are 3 levels into Lucid Dreaming. What |)347|-| is experiencing is what is known as Low-Level Lucidity. <,meaning that he knows that hes dreaming but incapable of doing much of anything, hes limited. This Level is not difficult to get pass. But it must start within him. He's not believing enough thats all.

Other Levels

High-Level- which I believe most of us are, and SL aka Super-Lucidity

Low level....not exactly, would walking through walls be low level? i just cant affect objects that arent me with out a severe amount of concentration.

The astral plane goes beyond the "super lucidity", thats all I'll say, but I gues alot of people dont believe it, their loss

and Death(i dont feel like 1337ing your name sry ;p), its simply a matter of convincing yourself that you can do these things....the power of suggestion is great, try something like putting a small rock under your pillow and tell yourself it is a control rock, and so long as its under your pillow, you will be able to completely control every aspect of your dreams...this may sound silly, but dont knock it til you try it...
