What sould i do to controll the dream better, other than spinning. i mean, if i spin and rub my hands, i still cannot change the dream course/scenario/plot... what should i do to get the fullest possible control?

Imagine it happening, or have some type of button that you push to put in the plot you want. The possibilities are endless.

I think I just posted to a similar question; I just copied my reply here:

There are a variety of ways to try to stabilze the dream. Spinning, looking at your hands, etc. Everyone's different so you'll need to find out what works best for you by tryin different things.

Personally, once I realize I'm lucid, I stop whatever I'm doing and lean against a wall to collect my thoughts and stabilize the dream. Sometimes I'll examine my hands as I'm standing there to determine how much detail I can see. If I try to do anything (like flying) right away without giving myself time to calm down, I'll lose it right away.

I've only had like 2 lucid dreams... but don't you just have to expect it to change and it will? if you want to see OMGWTFBBQ floating a black emptyness around the conner... just asume it will and it should be there.

Well I'm not an expert, but i hope you'll accept me trying to 'answer' your question anyhow.

You know when you're dreaming ( none-LD ) and you just know that stuff is about to happen IF (random events)
This is a random scenario: You're in a dream, and you start the dream with a trigger under your foot, and you know that, IF I remove my foot from the trigger a bomb WILL explode. Use this same technique for control, can't that be possible like. Use Dreamcontrol in this similarity, like " oh my.. if i jump I'm gonna fly because i got jets under my feet " or something like that. Use the technique " IF "

It's like Programming your mind to think that what you say / do is gonna happen because of ( random reason )

It's hard to explain what i mean but, hope this will be off help too you.

Imagine that you have an all-powerful high-resolution PDA that controls the universe in your pocket. Address it like this: "PDA, make me have wings."

I don't know, but what I said sounds plausible, doesn't it?

I've been having a theory lately about right brained vs. left brained people. Logical people might have an easier time realizing they are dreaming because they are more likely to question their situations while dreaming, but creative people have an easier time controling their LDs because it's easier for them to suspend their disbelief.

I have no idea if this is even CLOSE to reality. It's just an idea I'd like to discuss. What do you all think?

I find that the easiest way to do anything in dreams is to have a DC do it for you. For me, it's much easier to believe that someone built into the dream can change things better than I can. It helps for changing light levels and everything. Just ask a DC to help you into a new place, find a person, get you something...even asking them to give you magical powers in which to do things yourself can work.

      Hey skuruza,

I know I’m late but I feel that you can stabilize a dream in anyway you can think of. All you need to do is train yourself to recognize that what ever you are doing will affect the dream in a positive way (stabilization)

Personally I have taught myself a number of things to stabilize a dream to ensure a perfect LD. One of which, when I am walking and I see something that I recognize from waking life it just clears your mind in ways you can’t imagine. I don’t have a name for this technique, I don’t even know if someone has already done this (very possible) but it works very well.

      Practice practice practice!

......regardless of whether or not this is true that is actually a really really good theory. hmm. There are certain types of tests they give out to determine if you are more right brained or more left brained. Id like to know who is which and what they have an easier time doing; Gaining lucidity, or gaining control when they are lucid. Or whichever was hardest for them when they first started. good stuff

It's a good observation, Jimmie Lynne... there are differences IMO between the so-called "creative" and the "logical", with creative people having an enhanced ability in LD to create scenarios from their imagination, but with little "control"; logical people having an enhanced ability to remember that they are dreaming, but with little imagination to create. If one could create a balance of the two, one's LD ability would soar away.

This is very well put Oneiro and I completely agree. This is the determination of excellent mental health within the Lucid Dream. One's focus exceed the norm to the point of total recognition that the dream environment can completely be altered by little means because that individual has possessed the fact that they are immersed completely in this dream world and anything goes.
