I'll tell you the strange thing I saw in the sky last year, but I have to tell a boring story first.

I went to Wal-mart and I was in line behind this woman in a wheel-chair. She was extremely slow, and it was annoying but I felt a little guilty being annoyed at somebody in a wheel-chair. But then she asked the check-out person to go back into the store and get her something that she forgot. Which she did. Then she paid, slowly counting out her money, and then she immediately wanted to return some of things she had just bought. It was unreal, I was in line like a half-hour with this nonsense. Me and the woman behind me were looking at each other; it was almost funny but not really when you're in Wal-mart after you have been working all day and just want to go home. Anyway, I finally got out of there, and it was dark early, because it was winter. I was driving on the highway, two-lane, not too many lights, and I saw this huge ball of fire coming down, right in plain view thru my driver's side window. It was flaming, and shooting sparks, and I could tell it actually had mass, not just a point of light but a big flaming ball. I thought I saw it go down in the woods and there was like 3 feet of snow but I thought maybe the next day I would come back and look for it. Anyway on the radio the next morning they had a call-in show about people who had seen the meteor, and it turned out that it had really landed like 100 miles south of where I was. The people down there had actually heard a boom and felt the ground shake when it landed. It was just so big, I thought it was right next to me. They never did find it, altho they knew pretty well where it must have landed.

I was then grateful to the annoying wheel-chair woman, because if she hadn't been so slow I wouldn't have seen the meteor. I try to remember this when something is slowing me down, you never know what you may miss, good or bad, so take it easy.

P.S. I don't think this has anything to do with lucid dreaming but it was a cool meteor. I immediately wished something but honestly I forgot what it was so I don't know if it came true or not.

dunno but UFO's aliens and strange star/planet formations are big dreamsigns for me. I saw an amazing UFO in a dream and I knew I was dreaming. Is that what you are talking about?

Is your avatar a...?

Because of the illusory state that often go hand in hand with lucid dreaming, such as sleep paralysis, hypnagogic images and hypnopompic hallucination people that do not know what lucid dreaming is often make the mistake of lableing these events as alien abductions and such.
This is not the case.

I had a lucid dream once where I was in my backyard and I saw this huge thing falling out of the sky. I remember seeing it coming closer and thinking it would hit me but it missed. Once it did hit the ground I got knocked over and fell on the ground and it actually hurt. I got hit with stones which hurt also and I felt the wind that the crash had caused. It was pretty cool.
