Same problem here except after realizing that I am in a dream I usually wake up as soon as I atempt to take any kind of action. |

Heya, had another lucid dream last night and i would love some suggestions as i only can do a few things. Looking at my hands, crusing and talking to characters or flying is a breeze but when i try to do other things it dosnt work, i wake up or i have false awakings. I've tried to fire lightening boltz out of my hands, tried to make a friend apear and do the spining thing but it dosnt seem to be working. Is it just practice or do i have to believe that what im trying to achive is totally possible? Is my mind holding me back? |

It seems like the things you can or can't do depends on a number of things, such as how lucid you are. Some times you just can't do something, others its very easy. |

There are individual differences...like i have problems with changing scenery, but i can fly really easily... |

A lot of times you become lucid and dont have access to your "hard" memory. Thus you just dont remember what you wanted to do. |

Does how lucid your dreams are have any significance on the ability to take control, as I stated before once I realize that it is a dream which the ones I remember becoming aware. |

One thing that helps me do things that seem hard is reading this forum. Reading all the things other people can do helps to dispell the little subconcious voice that says "maybe it won't work". Also making anything just appear or change while you're looking at it takes practice and confidence, try walking into another room and expecting whatever you want to be there. |

Thanx Vors, now that I think back it does seem that I always do try to take immediate action when I become lucid. I will definatly give it a try. |

These are the tears that I dream about...
I too, have had some difficulty "willing" something to occur. I also agree with the post that suggested closely examining the materials available, and it seems to solidify the dream and stabilize it. |

i used to have the problem of staying in my dream after i became lucid, and that's when i started researching LD's. just reading about it and other peoples experiences has helped a lot. now when i become lucid i just sit back for a second and take everything in (as mentioned above). i try not to have any expectations (like what i'm going to do or even that i'm going to stay lucid).. and that seems to help a lot. |
