[font=Lucida Console][size=2]Hey, My name is Casey, and I was about thirteen when I started having lucid dreams. I dont know how to stay in control of my dreams consistantly, but when I found out there was a name for what I've been doing for so long, I freaked out!

heres one of my first dreams...

I was in a big house, I don’t remember it being familiar, this is a dream I had before but it was not lucid the first time.

I constantly went to the side of the house and then into the backyard and then a vicious dog would be there, assuring to bite me if I continued. When I used the back door to go into the backyard I ran into a huge group of people, mostly people I knew, and I turned into someone who caught these soft balls, and my job was to throw them at peoples faces, and whoever I hit had to go fight in the war.

Well someone threw a ball at my face when I went back there and I was recruited. I'm only 14, so obviously I shouldn’t even be in the forces yet. My friend Taylor was in my dream. She was recruited with me.

I remember becoming lucid and getting my toothbrush and cell phone before I left, then I lost lucidity, but my dream continued. This was my first lucid experience that I know of.

Then my friend Taylor was driving me and a few other people off into the war in a gold cart. She only had the steering wheel, and the gas pedal and her side of the cart was clean. My side of the cart was dirty, and I had the break pedal on my side … which is very odd, because I had to press it to stop the cart.

My parents told me to wear two hoodies in order to protect my self-better from getting shot in the fields. When me, Taylor, and the rest of us left, I told them the same thing, and I became lucid again when people started shooting at us, I was shot at in the forehead, but I slow the bullet down with my thoughts I guess, and pulled my hoodies over my head, and it hit me, but it kind of dissolved into my head instead of puncturing me or even hurting it.

This is the first time I felt anything in my dreams, it was this tingly feeling in my head, and I couldn't stop it, but then I KISSED my friend Taylor (who is also a girl so it was really weird) and then my dream ended. It made no since to me, but that’s what happened.

---anyone know how to keep control of my dreams better, or does anyone even know why the heck I would dream something so wierd?---

Well, first let me say: Welcome to Dreamviews!

Interesting dream. We all dream weird things. The jist of it is, that our subconscious mind is throwing stuff at us while we sleep and creating weird stories and images. Because our conscious mind isnt in effect, we just pass these off as normal most of the time. But, these images and such are taken from our experiences, which is what makes dream interpretation work. Could be recent, could be long-term, but thats about the jist of it.

To gain control of our dreams and become lucid, there are a number of methods. You can explore the forum and find out many things. We have a wealth of information about becoming Lucid and gaining control over your dreams.

Those are some good areas of our board to check out for help.

The one key tip that can be given to help you become lucid is: Reality Check, Reality Check, Reality Check!!! The best, most common, and easiest way that people become Lucid is by realizing they're dreaming while dreaming. To do this, you need to be able to tell the difference between the real world and the dream world. Turn Reality Checking into a bad habit, and always, always ask your self "Am I dreaming? Is this real?" Keep that on your mind all the time and you'll start doing it in your dreams and become lucid. Always pay attention to the real world. Be aware of your surroundings, look at everything closely. Note every detail, and always look for something that is out of place. Do this and becoming Lucid just got a whole lot easier. Once you've got that down, control is right around the corner.
