      Red face

Actually I'm pretty stoked right now....but my problem is:
Last night in every dream I had I realised I was dreaming (which is new : I've had only 3 LDs) but every time I instantly woke up (to make things clear: i don't think it's because of excitement...I didn't even have the time to finish the words "I'm dreamin..." before I woke up).

Another pblem : I tried WILDing and my technique nearly worked: thinking of a situation and just letting my imagination run smoothly until I'm half-sleeping and realise I'm dreaming which wakes me up (but this I can explain easier: I'm not even sure if it was dreaming or thinking....)

      Won't you please help me?

Oh, man; I have exactly the same problem, as far as I can tell. I don't wake up that fast, though. But it IS random, and it does happen when I try to wild, too, and I think that I"ve gotten pretty close some times. Hope you find some help; the only thing that I've noticed is that it happens mainly in the morning. Sorry I can't help.

You're waking up quickly because you're agitated/excited/fearful. This is perfectly normal in the beginning. As you calm down, your lucidity will last longer.

Perhaps you are even waking up because you have conditioned your subconcious to "wake up" from rather than "in" you dream. If this is the case then you need to train you mind to know the difference between waking up and "waking up". You may be able to do this by doing the following:

Imagine how you feel when you first wake up in the morning and picture your surroundings when you do so.
Associate that feeling with the real world in whatever way suits you, this may mean developing a habit in real life (for example checking the time on your alarm clock or sitting on the edge of your bed stretching).

You also need to imagine the times you have realised you are dreaming, the moment of realisation, make sure you can recall your surroundings, the trigger or a nearby character - just make sure that the feeling is clear and rememberable. Associate that feeling with an image of what may result from a continued lucid dream.

If done correctly the mind should see the LD as a more desirable option to waking up for real and take the fun route over the 6:00am start and morning breath.

Unless you secretly enjoy that part of your day.
Expect the unexpected - when it arrives ask it if you are dreaming.
