I became lucid this morning thru "astral projection" and everytime everything would just go black and then I'd have to start from the beginning again(separating dream body from the real one). This happened several times. Then I'd go to open the door and everytime it would be my same old neighborhood and same scenario. I could not fly but so high spinning would not work to change the scene, imagining different scenes didn't work, and on top of that the DC's I hitched a ride with (because flying wasn't working) intended on killing me. Finally I saw my car and I went somewhere else in it in what seemed like warp speed. What are some other ways I can change the dreamscapes? I have hardly any control and lots of my dream are more real life looking when I want more of a fantasy looking dream.

I've heard if you close your eyes and spin around you will most likely create a new landscape. Or try using verbal commands to force a new landscape, or walk thru a door or elavator of some sort....

      Hope that helps

I don’t know if this will help, but for me just relaxing and closing my eyes gently works. When I open them I'm somewhere completely new.

I know some people will say "just believe" but I need some creativity to get my dream juices rolling. whenever I have trouble with control, I try a different approach.

before you open the door, yell out a place you would like to visit. beach! volcano! dungeon! the moon! and so on

or you can try to come up with other creative ways to enter a new dream world, like walking through a mirror, through a painting. everyone is different. for one, spinning doesnt work with me. my dream self cant reason why spinning would change a room, but shes pretty convinced verbal commands are magic and do

Focus your will to melt and twist the landscape into another?

Might be your belief in astral projection. I don't. However, if someone is trying to walk around in the astral body it is usually in the real world they are still walking. So this is probably preventing you from imagining anything fun because you at some level still believe you are in a real world.

You also might want to read a lot of novels, view as much Fantasy and Science Fiction Art as you can and while awake spend time visualizing the worlds you want to see. Practice. Watching archeaology programs on the History Channel and such like also shows you other worlds, cultures and such.

      Hi Tomeeka..

I'll write what worked for me.

After several years of LDing the same basic landscapes, which were often dark and somewhat foreboding, I got a new job which entailed me getting up very early in the morning. After a few days of this, I felt the need to have a nap when I got home from work at 4.30 pm. Imagine my surprise when I started to LD in completely different settings, light, bright and "outdoors" in "daylight". My night LDing remained the same, but my daytime LDing became completely different..

So.. I am convinced there is a difference between sleeping in daylight and sleeping at night, and I suggest that if you want to change your LD scenarios, try a "power nap" during the daylight hours.

      All the best to you.
