Curiosity killed the cat but at least it didnt die an ignorant bastard
Yes Nightowl, you understood my question perfectly. And we agree completely on the matter. You must have some sort of experience to dream it. |

Yes jlambie, that is another way of putting what I wanted to say. As LaBerge said that you can travel anywhere you want in your dream, he forgot to mention that it would only be the best approximation of this place that your mind can create (based on the real world experience), not the actual place. |

I think it's called imagination. But yeah, that probably includes taking bits and pieces of things from experience, photos, movies, and stories, and putting them together in a way that makes sense to you. So, perceptions, like nightowl was saying. |

Hey dreamers. im new to LD, i have been adopted by "Game Over". |

I had one LD where I was teaching some sort of science lecture. I remember standing at the chalkboard speaking to a room full of college students (my peers). I hate math and science and am terrible at both so I found it so amazing what happened next. I began to speak and teach using words that I did not know. I solved equations and answered questions and did all this scientific stuff. I couldn't even comprehend what I was saying b/c it was like reading one of those scientific reports or something, but all I had to do was open my mouth and the words would come out. I remember one math problem in particular where I multiplied the numbers 210 and 147 in a split second without even thinking, I just wrote it down. I even remembered the answer...which was 30,870. When I woke up I quickly went to the calculator and multiplied the two numbers. And it was the correct answer!!! I nearly LOST it. I have no idea how I was able to do that but it really freaked me out. |
