      I can fly but...

I can't seem to stay in the air! I can usually launch myself into the air, but I can only use my speed from the jump to glide, and I end up sliding to a stop on the ground. Even when I jump off of something, the same thing occurs.

I don't know how to fix this! Any ideas?

try swooping to build momentum...you know...gradually fall and then angle up again

When i first started to fly...i jumped at the ground like i was diving...and kept flying really low...but if i was going to hit the ground Id just lean up. Just try to do this and gradually youll get higher and higher...and youll get close to the ground less frequently. Its sort of like bouncing until you get so much momentum you just...carry on..

that was probably pretty unhelpful. But basically just remember its a dream and that you DONT need any form of propulsion.

I flew for the first time in an Ld last night. At first It had some trouble getting up but then I just ran and jumped Superman style and I was able to stay up for a little while. It seemed like I had to imagine my body being moved by a propulsion system. It's like when you're riding in a car and you can feel yourself moving and the seat pushing against you. I just imagined a force like that on me and it worked ok. Also it's like when you are laying in bed and you feel like you're spinning or moving. Swooping seems like it would help too and also give you an acceleration type movement feel.

I don't know if I've fixed the problem for good or night, but last night I flew pretty well. Thanks for all the info!

I dunno if this helps, but here I go anyway.

I've just thought less about it, and just accepted that it can happen. I think over-thinking or over LD'ing kinda forces a sense of disbelief in dreams, if that makes sense... (or on me, anyway).
