Morning all!
Due to my hectic life over the last two weeks, I've just been getting about 6 hours of sleep a night and no lucid dreams
However, last night I was able to get a full 8.5 hours and a really nice period of lucidity around 7 this morning.
If any of you have read The Art of Dreaming, you will remember one of the tasks given to Don Juan was based on flying. He was to imagine himself drawn to objects in the distance, so, last night I thought I would give that a try.
When I usually fly, it is under my own power, kind of like propulsion.
Last night, I decided I would let object pull me to them. Kind of like gravity. WOW what a rush!
I first focussed my attention on a large tree about half a mile away and let it pull me. It was just like gravity, massive acceleration and speed at the end.
I then tried to focus on a paper mill that was about 5 miles distant and an interesting thing happened. I began to fall toward it, if you can call falling horizontally really falling =P. But by the time I got there, it was gone.
I found that if I focussed on the destination to long that it would disappear.
This happened also when I let a mountatin range attract me.
Probably the coolest thing was when I let an airplane attract me. I focussed on a jet flying by and began to accelerate toward it, but it was like being on the end of a large bungee cord. As I neared the plane, I had to match vectors with it or something, because it whipped me around in an arc and I shot past it and rebounded before closing in on it.
I encourage every one to give this a try. Next time, I'm going to try for something a little more aggressive, like a moon or planet. =P
