I sometimes have dreams where I have telekinesis or the ability to fly and i'm really freaked out because I have no idea how I got those abilities (for some reason I don't get that I'm in a dream tho)

Everything makes sense once you stop thinking about it

Same here, I can walk on water, fly, stop tornadoes in their track simply by willing it,etc and still... i don't freaking clue in that I'm dreaming. I need to create a DC that will walk up to me in dream, backhand me and say, "Youre dreaming ... get lucid dammit!"

This does happen to me every now and again. I am so engrossed in what is happening that I barely notice that what I am doing is impossible, and I completely forget to do my reality checks.

I've done this before too. I've moved dirt while it was in the air, and I started soaring for no reason. It's weird, but I don't do RC's, since the dream is sweet enough if I'm flying/moving stuff.

I disagree, I think that because lucid dreamers spend so much time doing and controlling impossible stuff in dreams the sub-conciousness sees this as normal and so it incorporates it into its own dreams.

I have better control in regular dreams than I do in lucids. Everything just comes natural and I use telekinesis, flight, telepathy, pyrokinesis, electrokinesis etc... Once I was even immortal (I was apparently 5000 years old), and I cut my arm with a blade only to watch it heal over within a second. Yet I have no clue that I'm dreaming, nor do I notice anything odd about what I'm doing.

Then when I'm lucid it'll occasionally be the same and other times I'll struggle to do even the simple stuff.

I'm exactly the same. What I've noticed in my non-lucid dreams is that I'm a master of time control - and telekineses to some extent. If I screw something up in a dream or find myself in some sort of trouble I'll just go back in time and change the course of the dream. I also "use" it to see DC's different responses to my actions and/or words.

It's just a pity I've never had the chance to try it in an LD, I usually get too excited and find myself losing control and eventually I'll slip out of the dream.
"All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act on their dreams with open eyes, to make them possible."
