A Good Method On How To Fly

If anyone has ever played a NiGHTS game (if you haven't, heres the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uW8Ulku0u2k) what I do is instead of just trying to fly, I look for those yellow rings. When I see them (if you are expecting to see something you usually do) I know I can fly through them, and voila, im flying! This has worked for me flawlessly.

That would get annoying though, because I'd have to consciously keep creating yellow rings. Unless that is just the take off method.

Flying is like second nature to me though. When I had my very first lucid before I ever knew about them I just looked in the sky and just... flew.

I didn't fly on my first lucid dream, but I did manage to teleport. I have experienced flying a few months ago, but I never seem to "think" about flying.
I prefer to take my time and walk, it seems. :p

Anyway, I figured an easy way to fly. Just do like Neo does in the matrix.

Kneel, jump as high as you can, and then fly away.

OP: I know what you're getting at, even though its hard to explain.
For me flying is very hard and consuming for me to do on my own; I usually need some form of propulsion. . .if I try and fly on my own, I run out of juice and the attempt ends as a big jump; but if you use the theoretical rings ( or it can be anything really; sometimes I use clouds or telephone wires) that seems to act as a 'checkpoint' of sorts. I use these checkpoints to refill my energy; as my propulsion. . .
every time I pass a checkpoint, BOOM, off I go.

. . .that looks like a cool game too

The trick is just to realize how easy flying is. If you think, "Oh, woe is me, I can't fly because it's hard," then Duh! You are never going to fly.

Just think, "Flying is graceful and easy!" and it will be.

I fly in ever lucid dream. I always start flying and forget to do anything else.

Or, use some sort of passive control method as a crutch. Take a pill that makes you grow wings, or drink some magic flying water. Use pixy dust and think happy thoughts!

I have found flying comes easy at a place where flying would be wonderful. Flying over the Grand Canyon, over the islands of Hawai'i, or over New York City. But I have found if I'm in an environment that's boring (my small town for example) the need to fly takes a back seat.

So looking at pictures of wonderful environments before bed might help stimulate that need to fly.

Think of jumping. How high can you jump? Very high!

If not that, find a high spot, jump off of it, then picture yourself gliding.

And once you start gliding, start doing some maneuvers and start flying!

When I first began flying..I would center on the backs of my ankles, then rise tip-toe
arms out-stretched..later I was gifted with wings,so i could steer clear of the abyss.
My wings seem invisible now..but I guess that's growth.
