      k. so i had a lucid dream, and when i realized i was dreaming i already had a plan for becoming lucid, find a car, lite up a blunt, drice around and shoot people with my mac 10, do some grand theft auto shit. so i found a car, started it up, and i went to push the gas and i woke up moving my feet as if i was trying to push a pedal.. >< how do i prevent this? any tips?

not sure what happend, i was clam, wasnt over excited, i rember not being able to find the brake tho when i went to switch pedals.. idk if that is important but..
bad timing tho >< as i just became lucid :C

Are you a light sleeper? This happens to me sometimes too (in regular dreams as well) if I'm in a light sleep. The key around this would (probably) be a small amount of exercise dailey or something else that would put you into a deeper sleep by tiring you out in a healthy way.

I'm no expert, just my 2 cents.

      Hope this helped,

The best time to have a lucid dream is after about 5 hours of sleep, something to do with REM sleep (read it but forgot it now).

Yeah, likely your problem was sleeping so long. A healthier sleep cycle (around 8 hours) is recommended for lucid dreaming. (Even though several other memebers around the forums including myself don't stick to a "healthy schedule". Me posting this at 1:30 in the morning proves this, haha)

Anyways, I'm off to bed and out for the night,

yes dreams do have to do with rem sleep, ur sleep cycles loop, and after each cycle ur rem time increases. so if i sleep longer the more my cycles loop, meaning the more rem sleep i get, thus more vivd dreams and longer lucid ones. i was thinkin this morning; man, ive been haven a lot of vivd long dreams this past week. and its true the whole past week ive had vivd clear dreams, most of them having clear dream signs when i wake up and recall the dream, but for some reason i cant notice and say; this is a dream. >< hopefully as i dream more i can begin to notice these

Try the hand rubbing and spin techniques. You could have lost lucidity and... woken up.

pretty sure it wasent that. i was fully aware of the dream and surroundings i ''spawned'' the car u could say. i was looking for a good car and i seen mini vans n shit, n i was like, i cant roll in this. and said in my head theres a corvete in the next driveway, well there was. and i was telling my self it was unlockd and theres keys in the ignition, and there was. dont think i lost lucidity, i was fully aware of what was going on where i was and what i was going to do.
