      Random thoughts by Skittles.

Included in this post are just some random things that happened to me, Skittles, in my LDs.

Flying: When attempting to fly, usually I either jump pretty high and land back on the ground, or I just take off so high and I can't stop. One time, I just got so high up that I was in space and was just zooming AROUND the earth so quickly. I even saw the island of Japan. I think that my problems with flying are just in my confidence and possibly my fears. I don't like heights too much, but love flying in my dreams. When I start soaring up uncontrollable, I remind myself that it is just a dream and I shouldn't be afraid, but I still am. Any Suggestions?

Staying lucid: I had a LD last night and was just trying out a few ways of staying lucid. I found looking at your hand until everything comes back into focus the best way. Doing this every once in a while, I had a LD that had to of been AT LEAST 30 minutes long. That is a record for me.

Putting finger through your palm: I finally did it! I have been trying to remember it, but only last night I finally tried it. It felt wierd. At first, it didn't work, but then my thumb went in a little, and continued to go in slowly. It was like going down steps. A little at a time. Wtf am I talking about? Whatever. End Ramble.

I ahve the same problem with flying. It feels so damn real that it freaks me out when I go that fast and that high. But its fun when I drop my fear and take off.

2 days ago I had my first high altitude flying experience.
There was no fear, but at some point I lost focus on flying and went straight down... blacked out like 20 m above ground and woke up...

That thing about looking at your hand to stay lucid sounds really good, I must try it next time! I think to syay lucid, u must focus on something in ur dreams, and the hands seems perfect .

By the way, how do you know u were lucid for at least 30min? Was it just a feeling or did u take time in some way? Just curious .
      Dreams are cool.. : )

It was just an estimate by me. I remembered all of the events that I did in my dream. When I was dreaming, I was even thinking that this was a long, long dream. I just did so many things that I couldn't even think of it actually being any less than 30 minutes.

      if ya wanna fly

If you wana fly, you gotta jump and start paddling with your feet like you're swimming in the water and start doing freestyle and you'll go up high, or maybe that's just me.

      focusing on hand? hmm...

i like that idea about focusing on ur hand to stay in. but u know u can make it longer then 30mins by not just lookin at ur hand. (i got this from another board) wen u start to black out and end ur dream, u can just open up ur dream eyes. i not real eyes, dream eyes then ull be back in ur dream. i havnt tried it yet but i think its a good idea.

Hey Ev, I had my first high altitude flying experience a few days ago as well!

I was superman in my dream, and as I was flying straight up it was like I hit a boundry and span right back down to the ground full tilt but landed softly on the ground. It was amazing all the clouds flying by.
