      Lucid Self doesn;t control dreams

Well, for a while I;ve been able to lucid every so often, but I;ve been thinking lately, and came to a conclusion earlier today. I had been talking about how my half-asleep self is really apathetic about work, and typically doesn;t care about stuff as much as my waking self (the mindset I;m currently in), and how people here (sometimes including me) have talked about their dream personae as alternate selves, rather than as themselves. I was wondering if perhaps there was some way to get my lucid self more excited about dreams. Typically, if I care any about a dream, I get caught up in it and forget I;m not a secret agent, and that I don;t actually live at my old school which now includes the Lincoln Memorial. Even when I am interested in a dream and become lucid, it;s usually not as an active participant (or occasionally as an omniscience), and my lucid self ends up pretty apathetic about the whoile thing. I've only done two or three of my lucid dream goals, and that was mosly coincidence that I did so while lucid. If you can think of a way to get y dream self to care about the dream goals my waking (and non-lucid) self made, I would really appreciate the help. Thanks for reading.

      I would recommend more auto-suggestion.

Each evening plan out exactly what you want to do, and form your goals into one or two snappy statements
Then, when you are in bed repeat your statements to yourself several times.

Or even better; try to form images in your head of yourself reaching your goals in a dream

Doing this ensures that your subcon. gets the message.
