      Changing Dreamscape

I have had many lucid dreams and i used to be able to change my dreamscape on command. Then i had a dry spell and i am back to lucid dreaming and i cant change my dreamscape.
Im always in my back yard and whenever i try ot leave it feels like im walking into a wall or being pulled back. ive tried the spining technique and i have had no sucsess. Any ideas?

This method works 100% I use it all the time.
Just close your eyes in the lucid dream and think about were you want to be and jump forward three times and snap and open your eyes.

      Tadaa your there.

Works 100% of the time for me and my friends who have had dry spells.

Is the jumping forward meant to prevent you from waking up when you open your eyes?

`I've had nothing yet,' Alice replied in an offended tone, `so I can't take more.'

`You mean you can't take LESS,' said the Hatter: `it's very easy to take MORE than nothing.'

Chaning dream scape was hard for me at one point but now i am able to change dream scape with a succesful techniique, creating a sceret door and saying it leads to whever u want works very well, wen u create the door imagine the entrance to the place u want to go , open the door if it is not loaded close it imagine it again with excitment(emtion important), open the door again and 90% pardise shud be dere on the other side, this is my techniqiue there are many but this works also

      The door technique works wall.
If you want to go somewhere very specific it would help to visualise it before opening the door.

I tried to mirror-port in a lucid not that long ago.
But there was only blackness beyond. I think its because I didn't try to visualise first.

I've been trying some of the suggestions on this page about thinking about something when you are preparing lucid, that is before you actually go to sleep and in this luicd dream I had yesterday morning it worked really well. Yesterday I tried this method of falling asleep for 6 hours and then staying awake for 1 hour. I had a cup of coffee and read some dream tutorials and dream stories and then I went back to sleep. During this hour of my awake I wondered what sort of landscapes or scenery I wanted to experience in my dream since I find it very true that jumping from one scenery to another and being able to control it is quite harder when you are already lucid, at least for me right now. So I started to think about how nice it would be to see huge mountains, rows of them and maybe be in the middle standing on the top, looking down at them. I think reminding the brain of certain forms has an effect and can give it at least the slightest idea about where to take you and where you want to be. To think about a mountain as the shape of a mountain, a house as your first idea about a house, plain, simple, origin, just a house. In my dream at one point exactly this happened, I suddenly found myself almost on the top of a huge mountain and when I reached the top I looked around and I was surrounded by them. This place seemed new and so I come back to what I was saying with forms is that you can probably keep your brain pretty fresh if you're focusing not on let's say a certain mountain or certain rows of mountain or houses but just the shape, a mountain. At least you get more surprised then maybe if exactly the place you see in your mind before you go to sleep appears.

Find a big painting of where you want to go and jump through.

If you believe it will, it does.

get creative. Portals, paintings, doors, televisions, magic wands, fly to where you want to go... whatever you can come up with. By the way, that jumping technique sounds really good...except I'm afraid closing my eyes in the dream would cause me to lose lucidity. But I guess it could be worth a try. My lucid dreams are almost ALWAYS in my backyard, and it drives me crazy! I can never seem to go where I want to go.

I tried to fly to a destination but it just kept getting farther and farther away. I like teleporting better. My tech is to hurl myself forward and yell "PORTAL!!!!" while thinking of the area. It usually works, but once I FA'd myself trying it...

I love DEILD! SP is pwnage!

I remember my first lucid dream was outside my apartment bulding. I just knew I was dreaming and tried to fly. I started to floating and I remembered wanting to go faster.
When I was airborne I saw this truck in the parking lot that was blue or silver. I wanted to experiment before I tried anything else so I tried turning it a different color.
It slowly turned red but I started getting peeved that things were going so slowly.
I closed my eyes and started spinning in the air. Then when I opened my eyes I was driving a car.
      D:

The spinning technique, I guess, causes a lot of people to lose their lucidity. Idk. You could try it I guess.
