ZOMBIE ATTACK
Grab the shot gun
Natural lucid dreams: 2956 (About this much I have had them 9/10 times since I was 6)
Is the jumping forward meant to prevent you from waking up when you open your eyes? |

`Take some more tea,' the March Hare said to Alice, very earnestly.
`I've had nothing yet,' Alice replied in an offended tone, `so I can't take more.'
`You mean you can't take LESS,' said the Hatter: `it's very easy to take MORE than nothing.'
When I say "open your eyes" I mean in the lucid dream. |

I've been trying some of the suggestions on this page about thinking about something when you are preparing lucid, that is before you actually go to sleep and in this luicd dream I had yesterday morning it worked really well. Yesterday I tried this method of falling asleep for 6 hours and then staying awake for 1 hour. I had a cup of coffee and read some dream tutorials and dream stories and then I went back to sleep. During this hour of my awake I wondered what sort of landscapes or scenery I wanted to experience in my dream since I find it very true that jumping from one scenery to another and being able to control it is quite harder when you are already lucid, at least for me right now. So I started to think about how nice it would be to see huge mountains, rows of them and maybe be in the middle standing on the top, looking down at them. I think reminding the brain of certain forms has an effect and can give it at least the slightest idea about where to take you and where you want to be. To think about a mountain as the shape of a mountain, a house as your first idea about a house, plain, simple, origin, just a house. In my dream at one point exactly this happened, I suddenly found myself almost on the top of a huge mountain and when I reached the top I looked around and I was surrounded by them. This place seemed new and so I come back to what I was saying with forms is that you can probably keep your brain pretty fresh if you're focusing not on let's say a certain mountain or certain rows of mountain or houses but just the shape, a mountain. At least you get more surprised then maybe if exactly the place you see in your mind before you go to sleep appears. |

Find a big painting of where you want to go and jump through. |

get creative. Portals, paintings, doors, televisions, magic wands, fly to where you want to go... whatever you can come up with. By the way, that jumping technique sounds really good...except I'm afraid closing my eyes in the dream would cause me to lose lucidity. But I guess it could be worth a try. My lucid dreams are almost ALWAYS in my backyard, and it drives me crazy! I can never seem to go where I want to go. |

I tried to fly to a destination but it just kept getting farther and farther away. I like teleporting better. My tech is to hurl myself forward and yell "PORTAL!!!!" while thinking of the area. It usually works, but once I FA'd myself trying it... |

I love DEILD! SP is pwnage!
I remember my first lucid dream was outside my apartment bulding. I just knew I was dreaming and tried to fly. I started to floating and I remembered wanting to go faster. |
