This is my first post; I just thought I'd share with you all a recent dreaming technique I discovered. 2 nights ago I was approaching the end of a lucid dream. I felt my left dream eye shut on its own. A few moments later my right dream eye closed. I could still hear and feel in the dream, but could not see. Now in past dreams before that dream, when the "eye closing" occurred, I would try to open my eyes back up. When I did this, my real eyes would open and I would be awake in my bed. |

My dream visuals fade a lot regardless if I close my dream eyes or not. I do sort of what you described, but instead of rubbing my hands, I try to feel objects in the environment that I want to be in. |

Rubbing objects in the dream.. NICE! I ought to try that because sometimes I wake up rubbing my REAL hands. |

Yea, this is a pretty basic way to prolong a lucid dream or to stabilize it. |
